The
life style at Sedia Hotel can be al fresco, with breakfast
taken in the garden, while lunch and dinner may be enjoyed
under mulberry trees on the poolside deck or inside the
restaurant.
But
where to eat and drink is a matter of mood and appetite,
coolly casual or a bit smarter perhaps with light Euro -
African cuisine, ideally suited to the climate, either from
the buffet or a la carte... taken in the garden, on the
pool deck or in the candle-lit air conditioned restaurant,
embraced by the moody African decor. The executive chefs
and their team are always prepared to tempt you to an array
of gourmet delights.
The
affordable Cape Pinotage, a uniquely South African red and
others, not forgetting the Chardonnays from the Cape wine
area, are all appropriate companions for good food. We always
have a reasonable selection available with prices far from
the top end of the price scale. |

Sedia Hotel's safari partner,
Afro Trek will be delighted to take you on a day trip,
an afternoon bird watching or a mobile safari further
a field. Our experienced guides can take you deep into
the National Parks and reserves of Botswana for a safari
of a lifetime.
Sundowners under Baines Baobabs
are well deserved after a day seeking out the big cats
I the wilds of Nxai Pan. As the animal migrations ebb
north south with the seasonal rains, the wildlife can
be plentiful in this seemingly desolate park.
Moving on to the ancient
Deception Valley in the Kalahari desert wilderness, many
landscapes will pass the window of your vehicle as your
guide points out springbok, maybe giraffes or a horned
adder.
Or take a day trip to the
famous Moremi Game Reserve, where the elephant's mopane
woodland is punctuated by the swamps and pans of crocodiles
and wattled cranes. A picnic lunch under an immense leadwood
tree on the edge of a floodplain provides time to reflect
on nature and some of her players.
You
can also take a mokoro trail for one to three or more
days, bush camping along the Boro River system. Early
morning and late afternoon game walks together with mokoro
trips along nearby channels encountering a variety of
mammals and birds indigenous to the area are the highlight
of bush camping.
