LOCATION: Hotel Club du Lac Tanganyika - set within a luxuriant park of 5 hectares behind a wide beach in the Nord side the Lake - has a capacity of 200 beds divided in 62 rooms (from 2 to 3 poster beds) and 16 suite (from 2 to 4 poster beds).
Noted as the most beautiful resort of the Lake Tanganyika, it has been rinovated during 2005 .The alterations have rispected its original and colourful architecture, mixing the best of local handcraft and italian design.
The Hotel Club du Lac Tanganyika, although 5 kilometers far from the airport, offer guests a luxurious and relaxing accomodation in an intimate environment supplemented with a small zoo.
It’s no doubt the most exclusive resort of all the great lakes’ region; with high quality facilities, large open spaces, the opportunity to practice sport, well-being and relax and the possibility to organise congress or banquets.

ENVIRONMENT :
The Lake Tanganyika and its beaches are one of the strong point of the resort.
On the large beach (over 20.000 mq., fronte lake 300 mt. ) will be possible to get sun bath and to relax. Bathing is possible in the Lake and its water feeds Bujumbura’s aqueduct. Its sandy bed is never muddy.
It’s the longest lake at the world (over 600 Km.) and it’s the second for depht (1400 mt.); its biological heritage is one of the oldest (20 milion of year).
The Lake Tanganyika is, with its abundant supplies of fish, able to feed entire populations.
Who has tried the catch, can testify of its quality and its great variety (over 500 species).
The Lake is also the hotel’s natural "air conditioner", as located on its north side. Actually, every day, raise gradually a breeze that has its apex in the hotest hours of the day, that assure a natural ventilation.
This breeze also allows every day the practice of windsurf and sailing.

The 62 rooms, the 12 junior suites and the two senior suites, all very spacious and sunny, have a great view on the Lake and a private roomy terrace.
The rooms and the suites all have full equiped bathroom, minibar, television and phone.
The suites have all direct Internet access and, on request, air conditionning.
All the rooms and the suites have furnish and decoration realizzed by local craftsmen with the italian design of the FROJO ENGINEERING srl and natural local materials.
Interiors typify an exclusive local retreat with local timber furnish and natural polished timber floors. Fabrics are all in local cotton.
Rooms
From two to three poster beds they have a filter area, a bathroom and a spacious and sunny bedroom with a private terrace.
Junior Suite
From two to four poster beds, they are comprised of a living area with bed-settee, a filter area – that get to the bathroom-and a spacious and sunny bedroom with a private terrace. Some of the suites have a kitchenette.
Senior Suite
From three to six poster bed, they are divided in a day area and a night area. The day area is a lounge –office with a bed-settee and a filter area where is located the kitchenette connected to the first bathroom – including bath - and the sunny terrace; the night area is composed of two spacious bedrooms with terrace and a second bathroom.
