HOTEL DESCRIPTION: The Hilton Taba Resort has great views and plenty of activities to entertain the whole family. As you would expect from a hotel overlooking Egypt’s Red Sea there are plenty of water sport activities including the opportunity to dive, snorkel and explore the fantastic underwater world the area is famous for. On the private beach you can join in with a game of beach volleyball or relax on a hammock under a palm tree. For the more energetic there are five asphalt floodlight tennis courts and for children there is a hotel-run kids club and a playground. For a little pampering head for the beauty salon and indulge yourself with an aromatherapy massage or, if you are feeling lucky, put it all on the red at the Hilton Taba Resort’s Stars Casino which has slot machines, blackjack, 3 and 5-card poker and single-zero roulette. It opens at different times daily and 24 hours a day from Thursday afternoon to Sunday morning. Last but not least, the Hilton’s reception team is available all day every day and can help with booking taxi’s to the underwater aquarium or find out about sightseeing tours of the Pharaoh’s island. You can draw on their experience to find out about nearby Taba attractions, such as the Taba Heights Golf Course.

The Marhaba Restaurant is the place to go for authentic Oriental and Egyptian dishes including tagines, hot mezze, couscous and homemade pastries. If it is just a snack you are looking for then it is worth trying the Nelson Village Pub where you can enjoy soup or pizza accompanied by a variety of refreshments in a rustic setting close to the sea or enjoy freshly-squeezed juices and light snacks at the Hilton’s Pirates Bar which serves drinks and international snacks including club sandwiches, pizzas, chicken wings, hot dogs and ice-cream. You can also get light snacks at the Rainbow Bar and Lounge and watch nightly-themed shows including belly dancing. Finally, if you still feel energetic after a long day sunbathing, diving or joining in with the local activities then a visit to Rocks Disco could be just the tonic. Open daily from 10pm to 2am you can dance the night away or just relax with a glass of wine, beer or even a cocktail or two!
