Gunjur Beach Lodge is set on the sandy beach of the small village of Gunjur in the south of Gambia. We offer you a peaceful place to relax, unwind and enjoy your holiday. The lodge is also perfectly suited for team-building trips, workshops and small conferences. The lodge consists of 8 rooms, restaurant, bar and campsite set in a lush tropical garden. The beach, about 50 steps from your room, is unspoilt and almost endless. When you explore the surrounding villages, wildlife and nature, whilst staying here, you will experience the African way of life. There is a lot to discover in Gambia. Located in the bush on a sandy bay where you willl enjoy the sound of silence. No noises from traffic but the singing of the birds, the waves of the Atlantic and the breeze through the leaves. That's what you have to imagine when you think about Gunjur Beach Lodge. This is a great place to escape from your everyday life and completely unwind.

| ROOM FEATURE |

They offer you 8 en-suite guest rooms which are situated in 3 bungalows. Each room has its own private terrace/balcony. The lodge runs on solar power and the water is from our own source. During the day the sun will heat the water, but we can not guarantee that you have a hot shower. The rooms are surrounded by (palm)trees, bushes and flowers.
There are 2 room types, M (Madina) and B/G (Berending and Gunjur). The Madina rooms are the smaller rooms with 1 double bed. The Berending and Gunjur rooms have either 2 double beds or 1 double bed and 2 single beds. This rooms are suited for up to 4 people, this is ideal for families.
We will try to make your stay as comfortable as possible by:

There is no safe in the rooms. However it is possible to put your valuable documents and money in the safe at reception. We charge a fee of 25 GMD/day or 150 GMD/week.
It is very useful to bring a torch, your own beach towels, mosquito repellant, good shoes/sandels for walking, suntan lotion, sun glasses and a hat to protect you from the sun.
Camping
It is also possible to bring your own tent and stay in our garden and use the outside shower and public toillet. We have small tents for 2 people for rent.
