Gunjur Beach Motel is set on the sandy beach of the small traditional fishing village of Gunjur, on one of the nearest beautiful stretches of wild and unspoilt West African beaches. They offer you a peaceful place to relax, unwind and enjoy your holiday.

ACCOMMODATION


This eco-friendly guesthouse offers, 4 double and 4 family, comfortable, tastefully furnished, en-suite rooms. All have running water and solar light. Locking wardrobes, tables and chairs are provided, the rooms are fitted with mosquito doors and netting on the windows. All accommodation has a balcony with comfy chairs and a table. Towels, toilet roll and soap are provided.

The motel consists of 8 rooms, restaurant, bar and campsite set in a lush tropical garden where you willl enjoy the sound of silence. No noises from traffic but the singing of the birds, the waves of the Atlantic and the breeze through the leaves. That's what you have to imagine when you think about Gunjur Beach Motel. This is a great place to escape from your everyday life and completely unwind.

The beach, about 50 steps from your room, is unspoilt and almost endless. When you explore the surrounding villages, wildlife and nature, whilst staying here, you will experience the African way of life. There is a lot to discover in Gambia.

They have a bar & restaurant and offer trips and holiday tours that include fishing trips, bird watching, cycling and boat excursions. They can organise night-time excursions to Senegambia area for clubbing or just eating out can be arranged.

Directions to Gunjur Beach Motel from the airport

• Leave the airport and take a left to Brikama.
• In the centre of Brikama at the market, just after the Shell Petrol station take a right to Gunjur.
• At the end of this road, you are already in Gunjur, at the T-junction take a left.
• Just after (second road to the right from the junction) the police stop you turn right towards Gunjur Beach and the fishing Village.
• There is a sign board at this turn. In the fishing village there are sign boards to bring you straight to the lodge (some signs use Gunjur Beach Motel).
• It is possible to arrange an transfer from and to the airport!

Directions to Gunjur Beach Motel from Serrekunda / Kololi / Senegambia

• Take the Bertil Harding Highway in the direction of the airport.
• At the big round about you take a right towards Gunjur (also indicated Kartong).
• After about 25 minutes from this point you will reach a junction in Gunjur that indicated Brikama (going left) and Kartong (going straight).
• You follow Kartong and just after (second road to the right) the police stop you turn right towards Gunjur Beach and the fishing Village
• There is a sign board at this turn.
