Rift Valley Safari KL8

On this safari you will visit the beautiful lakes in the Rift Valley, have the opportunity of driving through one of the best wildlife sanctuaries in the world at your leisure. The two nights spent in the Masai Mara is to ensure that you get to see as much of the wildlife reserve as possible. We may decide to use alternative game lodges, depending on the time of year and where game is most abundant. This is an ideal safari for those wishing to see as much as possible, without having to cover great distances.

Day 1 - Lake Nakuru
You will be met on arrival at Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, commencing your safari with a pleasant drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru is one of the many beautiful Rift Valley Lakes, and home to thousands of flamingos and other bird and animal life. Arrive at the lodge before lunch, check in and you will have time to relax by the pool before going for lunch. You will view game in the afternoon which includes a visit to the lake to see the flamingos. Thereafter return to your lodge by Lake Nakuru. Dinner and overnight at Lion Hill lodge or Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 2 - Masai Mara
After breakfast you will be driven across the floor of the Great Rift Valley, the longest rift in the crust of the earth, to Masai Mara. You will spend three nights in this natural paradise among zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, buffalo, elephant, antelope and gazelle. You will encounter prides of lion resting in the shade of acacia trees or lying low in the tall grass, in wait for their next prey. There is a good chance of spotting cheetah and if you are lucky, the shy leopard. Have lunch, dinner and stay overnight at the Mara Simba Lodge.

Day 3 - Masai Mara
After breakfast the morning is spent game viewing. Lunch at the lodge. The lodge lies on the banks of Talek River with a view of the Mara reserve, and you can easily observe the wildlife. Spend the afternoon game watching. Dinner and overnight at Mara Simba Lodge.

Day 4 - Nairobi
Leave the lodge after breakfast and head back to Nairobi, arriving in the early afternoon. Transferred to the airport for your flight to Mombasa or to international departure for your flight back home.
