Indian Ocean Beach Club Mombasa

HOTEL DESCRIPTION: The Indian Ocean Beach Resort was opened in 1992. It is an exclusive, luxury resort built on the site of a 16th century mosque. The Kenyan coast was once ruled by the rich Sultans of Zanzibar, hence the architecture is Arabic and a lot of antics from the Sultans Palace have been used as décor. The main reception has an antique "Chandelier" given to the Sultan by British traders for landing rights.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION: 100 Deluxe rooms (25 are ocean front ) are handsomely crafted and beautifully furnished and finished.

A specially designed room to suit a handicapped client. Apart from the above amenities, it has a walk-in shower and supports both in the shower plus toilet.

HOTEL FACILITIES: Business Center A comprehensive business center is equipped with, computers, printers, photocopier, fax, e-mail and internet. The secretariat service can handle anything from the binding of documents to CD burning.
Pool If you can't muster the energy to make it to the beach, there is a freeform laptop pool and three plunge pools scattered round the grounds

Spices:
The airy first floor restaurant, over looking the ocean, specializes in a rich exotic pot-pourri of master pieces from the shores of the Indian Ocean. Serves full Anglo American Buffet Breakfast and eight course Table d'hote Dinner.

Ocean Terrace:
Al fresco styled, pool-side patio restaurant serving light meals throughout the day. Specialities include sandwiches and mouthwatering dishes from the Tandoori oven.

Bahari Cove:
An open air, a la carte restaurant practically on the beach featuring the finest shellfish and seafood 'swahili style'. A snack lunch menu also available, one may choose to dine on the boat, in the main restaurant or out in the patio.

Jungle Village:
The Authentic traditional Kenyan Restaurant. The village creates gracious dinner banquets, set in open air bomas, with soft glowing lanterns and crackling bonfire all accompanied by enticing African entertainment. Operates only during theme evening Dinner setups

For the businessman the resort is the region's premier venue for functions. We have two update conferences with secretarial support facilities, audio visual and internet connections.
