LOCATION: The hotel is located in the main street in Lamu. Founded in the 7th century, Lamu still reflects the picture of the typical Arabic dhow port, with its 18th century stone houses and narrow streets with no other traffic than almost 4,000 donkeys. Lamu is the starting point for the famous island hipping trips to Pate or Manda Island with its enormous white sandy beaches and ancient town.

ACCOMMODATION: There are 22 luxury double rooms and 3 suites. All rooms are air-conditioned (and a ceiling fan for your preference) and has a constant supply of hot and cold water. All rooms have Lamu style furniture, richly carved to display traditional Arabesque architecture and culture. There are comfortable beds with orthopedic mattresses while painted on the wall above are the Swahili goodnight wishes --"Lala Salama" (Sleep Well). On both first and second floors, there is an open fronted spacious lounge area overlooking the sea and filled with plump cushioned chairs and sofas. The rooftop Sun Parlor is partly covered under which are Swahili beds (complete with orthopedic mattresses) scattered with colorful cushions. It offers a fantastic view over the island and sea.
