Introduced by the British, Tea also forms part of the different aspects of Mauritian Life. You will also have the chance to visit part of the Southern area of the island.

Leave the hotel for Forest-Side.

Stop for an hour at the impressive colonial house of “Les Aubineaux” for a visit.

Reach the Tea factory “Bois Cheri”. Discover the different process in the making of Tea, after a drive through the tea plantations. Depending on the season, you can see and photograph the workers plucking tea leaves in the traditional way.

Enjoy tea-tasting: different flavours such as vanilla, coconut, tropical fruits and others, meant for exportation only. Possibility to buy on the spot.

Lunch at the colonial house of “Saint Aubin” on a sugar estate followed by a visit of the Anthurium flower field.

After lunch, proceed South to visit “La Vanille Crocodile park” with its tropical set-up and endemic animals. Leave the Crocodile park to go back to the hotel.
