On the oceanfront, in the historical site of Pointe aux Piments, 9 miles away from Port-Louis. Plaisance airport is located 43.5 miles away, about 1 hour driving.

Small, nice and charming, the Spice Garden is not like large and impersonal hotels. You come here to relax in a very friendly place. It is recommended for couples or families.

The hotel has 26 rooms scattered in a two-level building including 15 standard rooms of 30 m² and 11 family rooms with mezzanine of 50 m². The standard rooms offer a bathroom with a bathtub and a hair-dryer. An individual safe and a TV are available. The air conditioning is adjustable. Each room is fitted out with a balcony, a mini-bar and a direct telephone line for international calls. The decoration and the furniture are charming : light wood and floral fabrics. The room-service is available until midnight. All the rooms overlook the sea.

The unique restaurant, ''Le Poivre Rose'' can welcome up to 70 guests. It is open for all three meals. The tables are set up in a room with columns, with white tablecloths and rattan chairs. In the evening, it offers theme buffets alternated with fixed menus. The cuisine is Creole and continental. All the drinks are charged extra.

Hotel Facilities

The hotel does not offer a real beach, but just a small square of sand above the rocks. The water leisures take place on the Meridien beach ( see the description of this beach ) located 0.6 mile away from here. A free shuttle ( once per day ) is available for clients. On the Meridien beach, you can practice free diving, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, pedalo, canoe, boat and glass-bottomed board. You should expect additional charges for water ski, parasailing and game fishing.
