HOTEL DESCRIPTION: We are situated in Southern Morocco at the end of the Draa Valley near the small town of Tamegroute (Zagora), a valley of endless palm oases and fortified villages at the foot of the Sahara desert. Since our hotel is far away from city lights, it offers excellent seeing conditions and transparent skies which we are enjoying most days of the year. The sky above can be explored using our large telescopes or simply by stargazing on our Star Terrace. Morocco can easily be reached by car and ferry and of course by air. All major places are connected by a well developed road system, for which reason Morocco is popular among campers and bikers. HOTEL ACCOMMODATION: We are a Three-Star hotel built on a property of 3 ha entirely in Kasbah style which is typical for the southern regions of Morocco. We offer 17 cozy rooms with 40 beds in total. The 13 Standard Rooms, 20m² sized, either single, double, triple or 4 beds, are equipped with air conditioner, private bath/WC and a large terrace with breathtaking view over the desert. In addition come four 35m² wide Mini Suites configured as single, kingsize bed or queensize plus a normal bed and equipped with air conditioner, private bath/WC, a small Moroccan Saloon, TV SAT or sound system and a grand view over the Dunes of Tinfou.
HOTEL FACILITIES: Car Park: We provide absolute security on our own grounds, and our car park is equipped with sun protection. Our restaurant serves authentic berber cuisine. Our hotel bar offers the best of Moroccan wines, beers and international brands of liquor and sports a billard table. Then, inspired by the black Saharan sky, we installed SaharaSky®, the first private observatory in North Africa, equipped with state-of-the-art GPS amateur telescopes. It was not always easy... I am proud, that my hotel belongs to the 100 leading special places in Morocco so close to the Sahara Desert.
