It was also the home where the late Aziz Lahbabi, Moroccan known philosopher was born. Today, Riad Maison Bleue, second Guest House restored and managed by the El Abbadi's family,consists of three interconnecting courtyards where guests feel as though they are negotiating the laneways of the ancient Medina of Fès. HOTEL ACCOMMODATION: Riad La Maison Bleue (33 Derb el Mitter, Ain Azliten, Fès) is located in one of the most historic quarters of the Fès Medina. A mysterious door off a laneway opens to reveal a wonder of Arabo-Andalusian architecture. The main courtyard, with its swimming pool and garden is surrounded by three deluxe rooms and a Moorish salon where you will be welcomed with a bowl of orange-blossom scented milk and dates stuffed with almonds. The eleven deluxe rooms and two standard rooms of the Riad are each equipped with an ensuite bathroom, reverse-cycle airconditioning, telephone, televison, internet access, mini bar and room safe. Three terraces offer breathtaking vues of the different aspects of the Fez Medina.
