The hotel was built on land granted by Gov. Simon van der Stel between 1692 and 1701. The building was restored in 1987 and has been declared a national monument. Golf is available at eight courses, all within 30 minutes drive.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATION: Guest rooms have extra length King, Queen, Double or Twin beds with en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, bar fridge, television, clock radio, hair dryer, room safe and telephones. A Continental breakfast is included in the value for money room-rates with a full English breakfast available on request. Complimentary bottle of mineral water, tea and coffee provided.
HOTEL FACILITIES: Our famous Jan Cats restaurant serves fine local and foreign dishes, and our sidewalk tables are ideal for a pub lunch or a visit with friends. We serve live crayfish, fresh oysters, a "catch of the day" and a selection of exotic game dishes. We also have an a la Carte menu with a variety or items to choose from. Our wine list supports the local vineyards. We offer an air-conditioned conference room and fully catered function facilities. The Stellenbosch Hotel is now able to offer two air-conditioned conference / function venues, the largest of which seats up to 90 guests. Discounted
