The architecture is inspired by the Arabic influences of the Swahili Coast and provides a luxurious and comfortable atmosphere. The entrance hall is spectacular with its stately pillars, rotunda and grand dome. The city centre, main business area, international organisations and embassies are all located nearby. The airport is situated 18 kilometres from the hotel on the outskirts of the city.

ACCOMMODATION

The Golden Tulip Dar es Salaam has 84 full sized rooms of 38 square meters each, 4 executive suites, 2 diplomatic suites and 1 Presidential Suite. All rooms and suites have sea view with private balcony and offer all the comfort you would expect of an international hotel on the East African Coast. All rooms are air conditioned and are equipped with satellite television, a large writing desk, in-room safe, direct dial international telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. The bathrooms are all marble finished and equipped with hairdryers. We offer 24 hour room service and laundry services. Our Lobby is Wifi enabled.

The "Sanaa" fine dining restaurant is situated on the first floor and offers modern fusion cuisine.

The Infinity Pool will help you relax with the fantastic Indian Ocean horizon all around, and enjoy the healthy pool bar menu at the Maasai Bar.

The Sanaa is an all-day dining restaurant on the hotel’s first floor and offers buffet breakfast and buffet lunch with a full menu of international dishes and a la carte options.

Enjoy a relaxing meal or drink in the company of friends and family at the oceanfront Ocean View Grill and Bar, which also offers a wide variety of Shisha flavours.
 
Lobby Lounge
Find the Rendez-Vous Café in the Lobby Lounge by the shopping arcade, and sample from the tantalizing rage of pastries, sweets and coffee blended with beans from the Tanzanian coffee fields. You can also order cakes for celebrations and other special occasions.

Meetings & Conferences

The modern banquet rooms are the perfect venue for meetings, seminars, cocktail parties, dinners and other business functions for up to five hundred people. We have several convenient sizes with daylight and all are air conditioned.

Oysterbay Marquee
Being located on the oceanfront, this marquee offers a cool natural sea breeze throughout the day. The Oyster Bay marquee offers 700 square meters of all weather shade and is a comfortable and spectacular venue for product launches, concerts, theatre productions, weddings, banquets and cocktail parties. You have not been at a nicer venue so close to the Indian Ocean.

Indian Ocean Marquee
This oasis right at the ocean front offers 45 square meters of perfect all weather shade in the middle of our tropical gardens adjoining the spectacular Infinity Pool. This venue is the perfect location for a corporate lunch, dinner or cocktail party and can be combined with the gardens. Intimate wedding ceremonies, theme parties and other occasions become special and make a difference in this setting.
