The Main House, where the reception, library and sitting rooms are located, was originally built in the 1920's as a private residence for a British entrepreneur. It is tastefully and classically furnished with rich hardwood furniture,deep, soft armchairs and sofas and features an wonderful collection of Ugandan artwork, some of which were selected for the hotel, others were commissioned.

No two rooms are the same. Each room is unique - in size, layout, amenities and decor. The views are varied as well. Some rooms overlook the main garden and swimming pool, while others look out over quiet leafy courtyards or a small private garden. Amenities include a mixture of private garden patios or terrace balconies. All rooms are equipped with a TV and mini-bar, and business needs are met with a large desk, direct dial telephone with international dialling, and data port with free internet access. All of our rooms are fresh and bright, with French doors and windows for ventilation.Half of the rooms are air-conditioned while the other half are cooled by a large fan. All of the beds are draped with mosquito netting - a necessity here in Uganda, but with a romantic touch. The décor is classic, with gleaming hardwood, crisp white linens, and colourful accents that are right at home in tropical Africa.
