room description :
The Lodge is designed in traditional style with thatched chalets, one of which accommodates the lounge, bar, dining area and modern kitchen. Set in very attractive parkland with a sparkling pool, the complex is designed for comfort and relaxation with particular attention to excellent cuisine and service.
Of the twelve chalets, six deluxe rooms are en-suite open plan with double bedroom, lounge, fax phone, television and fully equipped bathroom. The other six standard chalets have two double bedrooms, each with shower bathrooms, television, telephone and a common lounge. Ideal for families.
All chalets have fitted carpets, tiled bathrooms, posture-paedic mattresses, are mosquito proofed with gauze and have mosquito nets on every bed. The area is renowned for its underground aquifers yielding crystal clear spring-like water. The lodge is served by sealed boreholes, which supply safe drinking water, which is tested regularly. All bathroom water is connected through a softener for added comfort. Local materials have been used throughout – burnt handmade bricks, thatched roofing and Mukwa joinery and flooring. The main building is also thatched with dormer windows giving a spectacular effect both internally and externally.

hotel facilities :
A magnificent swimming pool is the centerpiece of the lodge, set in rolling gardens and overlooks the wild forests of the reserve. The Boma Island has been created in a secluded area for private outdoor functions and barbeque's. It has it’s own exclusive bar area and toilets. Tables are set out under huge trees overlooking grassy plains. Game often comes to drink from the waterhole surrounding the island.
Lilayi's restaurant is renowned for excellent cuisine and Lusaka Resident's often come out here to dine. 4 course meals with a wide variety of choices are served every lunchtime and evening. The menu is changed on a daily basis to take advantage of fresh produce available on the day. Most of this fresh produce is produced on the Miller’s farm and is grown organically.
A superb variety of salads, several different meat, game, fish and chicken dishes and a wide range of vegetable creations, followed by a spread of delicious deserts, and cheeses, will keep you under the trees all afternoon.
