HOTEL DESCRIPTION

The hotel is located at Stand no 11864 at the intersection of Church Road and Addis Ababa Drive, in the Rhodes Park residential area of Lusaka. The site measures 2.7916 hectares or 6.8980 acres. The property is a 10-storey structure, with a total built up area of about 10,195.02 sq m. The banquet halls, main kitchen and staff areas extend outwards from the main structure at the ground floor level, comprising an additional area of 2688.07 sq m. Apart from the main hotel structure, there are two separate structures within the grounds, The Club Lounge, area 451.51 Meters Square (One of the Banquet Halls), and Profile, the Health Club, area 415 Meters Square.

All rooms have smoke detectors and fire sprinklers. .All doors have Ving Card electronic locks, with a power saver switch interfaced with an indicator light outside, denoting ‘Guest in Room’. This is to protect guest privacy and facilitate ‘Single Entry’ system. 1.Bathrooms feature elegant single lever fittings by Indusa of Portugal. There are separate controls for shower and bathtub spouts to ensure optimum water pressure. HOTEL FACILITIES AND AMENITIES

The hotel enjoys a reputation for the high quality of its cuisine. It is particularly renowned for the authenticity and variety of Indian Cuisine available.

Steak and Grill restaurant serving grills from around the world and select Indian Curries is a favorites among the city’s Zambian and expatriate clientele. The expatriate Indian community patronizes the Grill restaurant for tandoori specialties and specialized Indian breads. Steak and Grills, with an African style thatched roof and open sides has contemporary interiors. It has a show-kitchen, bandstand, dance floor and its own bar. This restaurant provides views over the landscaped gardens surrounding the swimming pool.

The Marula Bar, which flows into the coffee shop, Jacaranda provides an atmosphere of understated elegance, while incorporating a contemporary identity to appeal to the young urban professional. By virtue of the bar being continuous with the coffee shop, there is a feeling of spaciousness and provides flexibility with ease of operation during peak hours.

Jacaranda, Coffee Shop serves buffet breakfast and buffet lunch. The restaurant has a built in buffet counter, including one section for on-the-spot cooking. The cuisine retains an international flavour, with an emphasis on continental specialties. Cuisine of the day is prevalent with Indian Specialty in Fridays and Zambian specialties on Saturday.

• Conference & Banquet Rooms

There is a separate entrance for the Banquet Halls, connected to the main lobby through a connecting corridor. he Mopani Rooms are a well-known conference, meeting and event venue, having received frequent coverage in the local media, in connection with events. Various organizations and community event funded by the donor organizations, NGOs and the Government constitute the major patrons, in addition to local corporate. A unique feature of a separate VIP entrance, essentially a small anteroom which serves as a holding area for a VIP who are invited as Guests of Honour for various functions has received acclaims. The full range of audio-visual equipment and conference aids are available, being sourced at a cost from Zambia Information Systems, which holds a monopoly in this service. The hotel is currently engaged in the procurement of this equipment, so as to be able to provide convenient and more efficient service. The main kitchen is located in close proximity of the Banquet Halls and a service entrance to Mopani, New Banquet Hall and the Business Center Board Room is provided from the Kitchen.
