| A superbly situated natural beach haven, especially good for marine activities and divers keen to experience the best dives that Pemba has to offer. Non- divers cans just as easily appreciate the natural side of thelodge, which has 12 chalets, facing the ocean and a line of vibran tropical forest. The large central living area is comfortable decorated, and desinged so that outside verandah tables benefits from their aspect to enjoy fresh breakfasts and evening meals beneath the stars. The position and appreciation fo the sunrise and sunset. Food is excellent and freshly prepared, server with broad smiles, with a kitchen not far away for any eyes to see. |
The sea front bungalows are perched on timber platforms, directly open to the ocean in the front, with stunning views of the sea. In the mornings you awake to the sound of waves on the beach, and birds singing in trees. At night you fall asleep to bush babies cackling ayaw in the tress to each other and between the bungalow is an enormous 50 square meters, with large beds, mosquito nets, verandah couch, chairs and en suite bathroom. The tranquility, space, and privacy mae accommodation in these bungalows truly memorable. |
Dining... Free seating around the verandah, is the main location for all meals. Breakfasts are english style, with a selection of pancakes, egges, bacon, alongside fruits, mandezi or bread, coffee, tea, always served with a big smile to wake you up Pemba styel. Lunch we be a slad, soup, choice of hot main dis, (pastas, fish, fillet, chicken) and vegetables, and always fruit to finish off. If you are selecting to go on a day trip where there will be a picnic lunch, there is always a lunch box, or better are the Biriani lunches that are served, with any fressh fish caught cooked direct on the beach. A cook comes allong and makes a real effort to make it a memorable meal. Dinner. Always under the inyquie starry nights on the verandah, and on the beach fro BBQ's on occasions. Buffet selection, fish and meats, with a cake or dessert as well as fruits. The Lodge has a fine selection of wines from South Africa as weel as Chile. Beers, sodas, bottled water, soft drinks and spirits as well as local juices are all served. The spectacular setting of the panoraminc verandah and lounge bar is the heart of the lodge. Inside, you can sprawl out on the magrove funzi lounge beds, play pooll,read from the excellent house magazine library, or lie on the sun deck and tan. The barman and staff will take care of your drinks and meals day and night. After dinner, the are the sharpest pool players on the island. Games include badminton, table tennes, football(with the local teams on certain days), beach volleyball, boule (bocce), bao, backgammon, chess, drafts, scrabble, trivial pursuit, plays and cards. |
