Ecotourism is defined as traveling to uncontaminated natural areas
for interpretive and study tours and enjoying contact with nature.
This is one of the most popular forms of tourism in Argentina.
Some of the most common ecotourism activities are trekking through
national parks and natural reserves and bird watching (approximately
one thousand bord species have been identified in hte country.).
The Ibera Wetlands, in the Province of Corrientes, and national
parks Iguazu, El Rey, Calilegua and Laguna Blanca, among others,
are ideal for wildlife observation and photo safaris. Skin diving
and snorkeling can be practiced in Peninsula Valdes and in teh
many lakes and ponds of the provinces of Cordoba., Mendoza Neuquen
and Rio Negro, and hte coast of Tiearra del Fuego. |
