All 84 private cabanas sit on stilts and all have a view of the Atlantic ocean. The cabanas dot the hillsides of the peninsula with some located right on our beaches. A few are actually built out over the water and are connected by boardwalks. All the cabanas have wooden deck floors and those directly over the water have plexi-glass windows (2'x4') in the floor so you can see our tropical fish swim by.Each soft-sided cabana feels very open with lots of windows and French doors that open to a spacious veranda facing the water. Window screens keep Mother Nature out while ceiling fans and tropical off-shore breezes help keep you comfortable inside. For those of you who need an extra dose of cool, air conditioning is available in all cabanas.
Now some folks have called our rooms "luxury tents," however we prefer to call them cabanas. Up on stilts, ocean views, air conditioning, small bathroom and more make these way too cool to be called tents. Cabanas it is! The cabanas are incredibly sturdy structures with aluminum frames and double walls of an extremely durable space-age soft-sided sailcloth-like material proven to withstand high winds. Need proof? For any lawyer reading this, when hurricane Fabian had a direct hit on Bermuda in September 2003 everyone was amazed at how our cabanas faired far better than many big hotels on the island. Just so you know, the roofs are also made of this same soft-sided sailcloth-like material. We have it on good authority that at night when it rains, the sound on the sailcloth roof is oh so romantic. But then again, you be the judge.
A Designer's Touch Lynn Wilson, a world-renowned Five Star Interior Designer worked on smart designs for 9 Beaches private cabanas. Lynn has completed a multitude of prestigious projects including the Biltmore and Boca Raton Hotels, Queen Elizabeth's Widlesham Moore Estate in Ascot, England, and Taj Mahal in India just to name a few.Paradise Pier Cabanas (6): The deepest water at the Resort, branching off on the pier, jutting out towards Daniels Head Island. Standing over the water on stilts, all with viewing panels (2'x4') in the floor that reveal tropical fish underfoot. Panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Top Banana Cabanas (10): Scattered around the coastline, stilted in the water or on the sea rocks with the tide coming in and out. All with viewing panels (2'x4') in the floor that reveal tropical fish underfoot. Panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Aqua Vista Cabanas (18): Right at the water's edge surrounding the perimeter of the resort; anchored on seaside rocks, beach or Cliffside on stilts. Offering panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Cabana Furnishings The cabanas are comfortably furnished--a small bathroom with shower, a queen size bed, a futon sofa that doubles as a second sleeping place, plus a table and two chairs inside. Plus, two more lounge chairs and a cocktail table outdoors on your veranda. Ceiling fans and tropical breezes maintain comfortable temperatures. Air conditioning is also available. You'll also find a fridge, hair dryer and beach towels. We think you'll love it!

CUISINE & COCKTAILS:

Dining at 9 Beaches Bermuda is just what you would expect. We call it, "world-class cuisine in an ultra-casual setting." Whether it's fine dining with a full selection of international wines or just iced tea on the beach, you'll find it at 9 Beaches. Our main restaurant, Hi Tide, and Dark 'n Stormy's beach bar offer fresh dishes with a touch of class and definitely one of Bermuda's most distinctive restaurant experiences. And our snappy a la Carte service is a roving "room service" that will deliver the goods. We also have a brand new pizza oven at by Hi Tide Centre Stage. And just above Hi Tide at Centre Stage we have Um-Um's - a great little spot for evening cocktails.
Dark 'n Stormy's Beach Bar & Grill (Named for Bermuda's national drink - certainly not the weather!) At the Resort's heart is Dark 'n Stormy's, our laid-back beach bar and grill. It's right by the main beach, dock and Surf Shack. Light cuisine is available from lunch through the dinner hour. We even have theme nights! And of course you'll be able to enjoy Bermuda's national rum drink, Dark 'n Stormy - made with genuine Gosling's Black Seal rum. On theme nights you can gather round the romantic fire pit for evening cocktails and a multi-course feast like our Steak 'n Seafood Grill or Caribbean Grill. Dark 'n Stormy's dishes up great food from noon to 3 p.m., weather permitting. Seats 60.

Some people relax by simply lying in the sun on a beach - maybe with a good beach book or two. Others relax when they are hard at play. Both types will be equally at home at 9 Beaches. Our nine separate beaches with some of the most gorgeous turquoise water you've ever seen provide the sun worshippers with plenty of options for each day of their vacation stay in Bermuda. We can even arrange delivery of picnic lunches for you. The more active types can take their pick from a host of LAND and WATER sports and activities. As the season draws to a close, availability of watersports equipment varies If you want to be bored, that's OK with us. But there are no excuses at 9 Beaches. Whether you prefer to be alone or play in a group, we have developed the greatest collection of activities in Bermuda. Indoor Activities Table tennis, foosball, and air hockey offer hours of diversion if for some reason our 9 different beaches aren't enough. Fitness Centre For those who are lost without their routine, our Boondocks Fitness Centre is the place to go. Cybex equipment includes 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical bike, 1 ARC trainer, and a multi-gym machine. And there's a great view of the ocean out the big windows. Golf and Horseback Riding Bermuda is famous for its golf. Today, Bermuda claims to have more acreage per square mile dedicated to golf than any other country! Our Concierge can arrange tee times for you at a local golf course on request. Organized to protect the fragile ecosystem of Bermuda, supervised trail rides can also be arranged for horse lovers.
