VISA REQUIREMENTS AND INFORMATIONS TOURIST VISA Tourist Visas are required for those wishing to travel to Bolivia as tourists. A Tourist Visa allows the visitor between 30 to 90 days leave to remain, during which period he/she must not engage in any work paid or unpaid. A Tourist Visa is not a multiple entry visa, and once issued, the visitor has only 60 days to enter Bolivia counting from date of issue. Please

LIST For nationalities which require a visa, without authorisation, an application can be made during the office hours of the Consular Section (Mon - Fri 10:00 am - 12:30 pm) Applications can also be made by post . Fees can be paid by cash or check payable to the account of the Embassy of Bolivia by using the pay-in-slip provided. It is recommended to use the safest way to send your passport, either recorded delivery (national or international) or courier. The costs of delivery are met by the applicant and no responsibility is taken by the Consular Section if the passport should go astray in the post. For certain nationalities authorisation from the Immigration authorities in Bolivia is required, in which case the application processing time is somewhat delayed. For nationalities requiring visas as well as authorisation, it is recommended to allow at least 6 weeks prior to departure. REQUIREMENTS Valid
passport or travel document with a minimum validity of 1 year. SPECIFIC PURPOSE VISA Specific Purpose Visas are required by those who wish to travel to Bolivia for any purpose other than Tourism. A Specific Purpose Visa is required by those who intend to engage in business, education, paid work, and any other activities not related to tourism. The Specific Purpose Visas have a validity of 30 days and are renewable for 60 additional days at the immigration office in Bolivia. When applying for one, an introduction letter is required which should state the specific purpose of the journey, the dates of travel, and that expenses will be furnished by the sending or hosting company or institution. These requirements apply to business executives, film crews, missionaries, voluntary workers, etc. For certain nationalities authorisation from the Immigration authorities in Bolivia is required, in which case the application takes longer to be processed. It is recommended to allow at least 6 weeks prior to departure.
