HOTEL DESCRIPTION
The
Hotel de la Opera is located in the most important tourist, governmental
and cultural centre of the Colombian capital. Most of the mayor
historical and tourist attractions, such as the Gold Museum and
the Colonial Art Museum, are just minutes away by foot. Guests will
enjoy the colonial architecture, appreciated by foreigners and Colombians
alike.
Located on the northern side of tenth street, on the corner with
the sixth, (Calle 10 No. 5-72), guests can drive in front of the
Hotel and park within eyesight of the bellboy. For overnight parking
the Hotel offers security patrols or valet parking.
The
Hotel can be easily reached from the El Dorado International airport
(approx. 25 minutes by car) taking the 26th Avenue towards the east
and then south by third street.

HOTEL FACILITIES AND AMENITIES
The
La Scala restaurant is located on the ground floor of the
republican house. Its serenity and elegance are the perfect
setting for the menu: subtle combination of Mediterranean
and local flavours. The wine list offers a wide range of
Italian robust reds and fruity whites.
The
Mirador restaurant and bar are strategically located on
the fourth floor overlooking the tiled roofs, towers, domes
and colonial bell towers that mark this historical part
of town. The menu suits those with little time but high
quality expectations.
The
Automatico Bar recalls a famous coffee-house of central
Bogota. It is the ideal place to cherishing brandy, liquor
or our traditional delights in a cosy colonial atmosphere.
The Chimney room, with perfect proportions, a spectacular
chimney and view on the inner courtyard, can be rented for
business or social occasions, fits up to 30.
The
Mirador restaurant with its spectacular view and uncomplicated
style can be rented for occasions with up to 100 guests,
the cupula can fit up to 25.
