The Telégrafo’s 54 standard rooms are spacious and share in the modern décor of the rest of the hotel. The color scheme is warm and lively, a feel which is enhanced by the abundant light let in by the large windows. The bathrooms are also modern and well appointed. Couples might wish to book one of the 7 rooms with matrimonial beds, and groups should try and secure a connective set (there are 2 sets per floor). 5 rooms in each floor face the inner courtyard where the snack bar is located and have restored sections of the hotel’s original walls. Only street-facing rooms on the first floor have balconies.

Across from Parque Central, the hotel stands on the wide, tree-lined Paseo del Prado, next door to Havana’s National Theatre and Capitolio and within walking distance of the city’s colonial centre. A short walk down Prado takes you to the seawall and a magnificent view of the lighthouse. On Neptuno, there’s no shortage of taxis bound for Vedado and beyond.
