Hosteria
San Jorge is a traditional Ecuadorian farm (Eco-Resort), with all
the comforts of modern life. Close to all the tourist and commercial
centers of Quito (colonial Quito is a UNESCO-named Cultural Heritage
of Humanity), the country inn is also located far enough away from
the noisy metropolis to provide guests with peace and tranquility.
Located
at Km 4 on the Cotocollao-Nono road, at only 10 minutes from the
city, at northeast Pichincha´s foothills, is a traditional
and natural world apart. . The area forms part of the Pichincha
cloud forest, 80 acres of which are owned exclusively by Hosteria
San Jorge. The virgin forest has abundant native flora that our
guests are welcome to discover in San Jorge's Botanical Reserve.

ROOM FEATURES
Situated in the beautiful
Ecuadorian highlands, San Jorge offers 30 comfortable rooms
available to guests, including suites, shared cabins, single,
double, triple rooms, and 3 conference rooms for 20,45, and
200 people. Each room is equipped with a rustic stone fireplace
and bathroom with a 24 hour hot water supply.
San
Jorge Country Inn offers comfortable hotel accommodations
within a natural environment where peace and tranquility can
be yours. Enjoy country life, while being within a few minutes
drive from Quito. All guests receive
individual attention by the the inn's owners and specialized
staff.
To complement your various Ecuadorian adventures, we offer

HOTEL FACILITIES AND AMENITIES
Bar
Restaurant and Lodging. The inn has its own tempered swimming
pool, sauna, turkish bath, Jacuzzi, cold water pool filled
with pure spring water, a wonderful lake and gardens. We have
a restaurant-bar, various lounges, a billiard room, darts,
a bull fight ring, and horseraces with prizes given to the
winners. We have facilities for all types of social events
and conferences. We also provide bilingual jungle guide service
(english-spanish).
Enjoy fine dining in Hosteria San Jorge's restaurant, El Cucayo.
Our spacious dining hall can accommodate up to 250 people.
Choose from the many options of Ecuadorian or international
cuisine that are available to our guests. Experience our famous
asados--beef, chicken, and sausages served right off the barbecue.
We invite non-guests to come up to for the afternoon and dine
with us. We can even accommodate large groups with elaborate
buffets.
Another option is to spend the evening in bar-lounge. There,
our DJ spins music from all over the globe; dance to Ecuadorian
music, cuban salsa, golden oldies, and the best comtemporary
music too. The bar area is equipped with a pool table, dart
board, and foozball (futbol'n) table as well as a fully-stocked
bar.
Since the Spanish arrived in South America, horses and horseback
riding have become part of Ecuador's culture and tradition.
Hosteria San Jorge invites its guests to discover this bit
of Ecuadorian life. We have many options to offer. Spend delightful
days riding through the Hosteria's private ecological reserve
or take part in the traditional horse competitions and games
back at the Hosteria. Take longer trips from the inn or take
advantage of the inn's options for travel throughout Ecuador.
The trail affords visitors an unforgettable experience. As
your horse takes you to higher altitudes and the windswept
landscapes of the Ecuadorian paramo, you will marvel at the
spectacular views. All of Quito can be seen from above, as
can the ice-capped peaks of distant volcanoes and Andean mountains.
The rolling hills with a variety of planted crops make up
a patchwork of colors that create wonderful photographs and
memories. On longer trips, a van will meet you with all the
equipment and food needed to make your dream barbecue a reality.
The inn's expert riders will accompany both beginners and
experienced riders on all trips near and around the Hosteria.
A knowledgeable guide is also available to go along. The bilingual
guide will provide any desired information the over 250 different
plant species as well as the more than 120 animal and bird
species that inhabit the forest. The inn has over 20 horses
and welcomes individuals as well as larger groups.
