LOCATION |
|
Located at the entrance to the Godthaab Fiord, Nuuk forms a natural point of departure for a number of beautiful sailing and trekking trips. The fiord is e.g. famous for its large whale populations, which make whale safaris possible in the months of June until November/December. Besides, a number of sailing trips can be undertaken to the Ice Fiord, the abandoned village of Qoomog, the village of Kapisliit and Kangeq / the island of Hope where Hans Egede settled when he arrived in Greenland in 1721. |
