More than 500 years ago a peaceful Amerindian tribe ventured off the main land and found their heaven on earth. The Arawak Indians landed on what we now know as Grenada, and made this enchanted oasis their Caribbean paradise. Because, thank goodness, little has changed on the island of Grenada in these 500 years, we gave their resort the Arawak name for “heaven” – and travelers the world over have found their own heaven on earth here at Coyaba ever since.
Truly one of the Caribbean’s most unique resorts, Coyaba is located right on Grand Anse Beach – considered by many to be the world’s finest. Yes, hurricane Ivan paid us quite a visit in 2004. However, we were careful to retain every bit of their endearing charm in the rebuilding process. Arawak history and culture is reflected throughout the resort, and a harmonious relationship has been maintained between their classic Caribbean interiors and Coyaba’s lush surroundings. |

ARAWAKABANA RESTAURANT offers gourmet dining including international specialties, as well as traditional Grenadian fare. Dinner is served from 7:00pm to 10:00pm and reservations are required. Please observe the elegantly casual dress code.
POOLSIDE open-air dining, with an a la carte menu, is available at our casual Carbet Restaurant. Lunch is served from 11:30am to 2:30pm and Dinner is served from 7:00pm to 10:30pm.
THE CARBET RESTAURANT offers a more casual setting where shorts and denim are acceptable. Shoes are required. |
