HOTEL ACCOMMODATION: One tower of 230 rooms at King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel has been re-opened after an extensive renovation. In addition to the all-new rooms, you'll also find completely refurbished corridors, and all new bathrooms. Even all of the plumbing, electrical fire safety systems, tubs, sinks, and sliding glass doors are all brand new. The newly renovated guestroom design is drawn from Big Island themes: lava, native flora, and the intricate detail of the Hawaiian tattoo. The coast is known for its contrasts, black lava and white coral sand, vast lava fields and lush tropical rain forests. The room design is based upon these contrasts and themes. The carpet represents the organic flow of the lava fields. The tile is the soft white and beige of the coral sand. The upholstery is based on the red and brown of the famous local coffee and the green of the accent colors comes from the many leafy shades of the fern forest. The furniture's contrasting light and dark woods are accented with the elaborate designs of Polynesian tattoos.

Partial Ocean View Rooms
Located on the upper floors of the West Tower, these all-new deluxe rooms have partial views of beautiful Kamakahonu Bay.  Decorated with a Big Island theme, they are available with one king or two queen beds.

Oceanfront Rooms
Located on the upper floors of the West Tower, these all-new deluxe oceanfront rooms have full views of the ocean and beach of Kamakahonu Bay. Decorated with a Big Island theme, they are available with one king or two queen beds.
