The Hotel Marina Copan is overlooking the Central Plaza in the charming town of Copán Ruinas, Honduras, the Hotel Marina Copan was named in honor of Doña Marina Welchez, and built on the site of her family home nearly 60 years ago. A Copan tradition, theirs was Copan's original hotel, home to generations of Maya investigators and enthusiasts.

With its distinctive lodging, they offer 51 spacious rooms and suites designed in a classic colonial style. All rooms are fully furnished with air conditioning, ceiling fans, cable TV and phone. Their accomodations include 11 single rooms, 34 double rooms, 2 triple rooms, and 4 luxurious suites.

GLIFOS RESTAURANT
The Long renowned as Copan's finest dining experience, Located in front of the pool area. Delivers an exquisite array of international cuisine and distinctive local specialties. Every day they feature a variety of cakes and flans. Or try their Bananas with Rum, Cream Sauce and a variety of special Maya herbs.

JAGUAR VENADO BAR
Refreshing cocktails are served at the Jaguar Venado Bar, overlooking the pool area. Live Marimba music is played every Friday and Saturday evening.

CAFE WELCHEZ
Located just outside the hotel, with a splendid view of the Central Plaza, Cafe Welchez offers a variety of lighter dishes and refreshing beverages. Their locally-grown gourmet coffee, espresso, foamy latte, or robust cappuccino, a sunset cocktail. Don't miss the Coconut Flan and their Tres Leches Cake.

MARINA COPAN SPA
With a small gymnasium (under renovation) and sauna (above right) on the premises. The gym is open daily, from 6:00 am through 10:00 pm. The sauna is open daily from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Rules and regulations are posted at the spa, located facing the pool.

SWIMMING POOL
Their pool is located between the lobby, bar and restaurant. Use of the pool is for hotel guests only. Towels are available at the pool.
