You recognize a sense of style at Round Hill Hotel and Villas as soon as you drive through the gates. It is like a cashmere sweater, exquisite to experience, but not the least bit showy. Profuse gardens, secluded golden sand beaches, a world-class spa in an 18th century great house at the edge of the sea, plenty of privacy and warm, friendly staff add up to low-key luxury and timeless glamour. The city of Montego Bay and Sangsters International Airport is 12 kilometers or 25 minutes drive east of the resort.

Guests may choose from Pineapple House Hotel with 36 superior and deluxe rooms overlooking the Caribbean Sea and Round Hill's seaside fresh water pool, or one of the 27 private villas dotted over the hillside, most with private pool.

ROOM FEATURES

The Pineapple House comprises of 36 ocean front hotel rooms, overlooking the Caribbean Sea. All Pineapple House rooms have large louvered windows which fold back to take full advantage of the view. There are king-sized beds in 20 rooms and the remainder have double beds. All have air-conditioning, private bathrooms, with tub and shower, telephones, refrigerators, umbrellas, bathrobes, small coffee machine for complimentary Blue Mountain Coffee and tea, hair dryers, and an iron and ironing board. Our fresh water swimming pool is located right at the edge of the sea, adjacent to the Pineapple House.

Newly renovated and designed by Ralph Lauren, all deluxe rooms evoke tropical beach living. White stone floors, romantic four poster mahogany bamboo beds and sumptuous upholstered furniture from the Ralph Lauren home collection add to each and every guests' comfort. The colour accents are white with splashes of pink and blue. The bathrooms have been enlarged and feature separate deep tubs, freestanding rain showers and double sink vanities; all fixtures are by Waterworks.

PRIVATE VILLAS / COTTAGES - There are 27 individually owned villas with 74 suites surrounded by 30 acres of gardens. Villas or cottages contain 2, 3, 4 or 5 suites, each with private living rooms and /or verandahs, and magnificent sea views. Sizes vary, and most have spectacular views. There are 22 villas with their private swimming pools. Deluxe and Master Villa Suites share the swimming pool with another suite.

Master Villa Suite Living Room - All suites can be rented individually, for a maximum of two couples per villa sharing a pool, or they can be rented as complete villas with a private pool for up to 8 persons.

Villas are beautifully decorated by individual owners to Round Hill's standard. The general style is laid back, plantation style elegance. You may find wicker, mahogany or bamboo furniture, slip covers and beautiful wooden floors. Bedrooms may be closed off and air conditioned. Living rooms convey a very light, Caribbean feel with the trade winds passing through it. Laid back elegance in tasteful verandah style. All villas face west and enjoy fabulous views and sunsets.

All suites are furnished with the following amenities:
Bath tub with shower, air conditioned bedrooms and ceiling fans, hair dryer, telephones with direct dial, bathrobes and umbrella, refrigerators in existing kitchen, separate twin beds or king size beds.

There is one kitchen per villa, which is used by the cook and housekeepers in order to prepare breakfast which is served in privacy at your verandah, in your suite or garden area.

Complimentary golf cart service is on call for transfer between villas and the main hotel if required, although most are just a short stroll to the sea. Children under 2 years old are complimentary in room.

HOTEL FACILITIES AND AMENITIES

Fresh water pool at the edge of the Caribbean Sea for use by all guests; private beach offering a fully equipped water sports center with some complimentary services. PADI diving, deep-sea fishing boats and yachts are available for charter. Round Hill also boasts five all-weather courts (2 are illuminated for evening play) for complimentary tennis. Our resident pro is always delighted to arrange tournaments, Round Robins, etc. Located at the spa is a fitness center equipped with treadmills, step master, bicycle, and free weights and personal instructor for exercise classes. Jogging and walking path, nature walk weekly. Golf can be arranged at the championship course just a few minutes away, with complimentary transportation. Art gallery and "Pineapple" logo shop on property; daily complimentary shuttle for shopping.

One main restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner on the seaside terrace, upper terrace or Georgian Room. For those who wish more dining options, we offer a "DINE AROUND" program with four restaurants in Montego Bay - "Marguerites", "Town House", "MaLou's" and "Day-O-Plantation".

The theme nights at Round Hill - Beach Party, Jamaica Night, Caribbean Curry Night are popular with guests all year. All restaurants offer shuttle service and are approved by Round Hill! Our cocktail bar also serves afternoon tea daily, complimentary for all our guests.

Ambiance: Days at Round Hill are casual and informal with the emphasis on enjoying Jamaica and Round Hill and the richness both have to offer. Evenings, though not formal, are decidedly elegant and graceful.

RESTAURANT: The excellent cuisine at Round Hill is enhanced by the bounty of Jamaica, from both sea and the land. Round Hill chooses and prepares only the best of the freshest of what is available locally, serving it with a continental flair and a trace of Jamaican accent. Days are casual and informal with an emphasis on enjoying Jamaica and Round Hill. Evenings, though not formal, are casually elegant.

Mornings are special, with breakfast cooked to order and served in bed or overlooking the sea. Those guest staying in the Pineapple House have the option of Room service or dining in the upstairs Georgian Dining Terrace.

Lunches are a casual affair, with a la carte items served on the terrace or barbeque items served on the beach.

And what could be more seductive than a vivid Caribbean sunset and a cool tropical drink before a stroll down to dinner through gardens of jasmine and frangipani.

Dinner is served with a view of the sea, in the charming Georgian Dining Room or on the seaside terrace overlooking Round Hill Bay. International cuisine is highlighted by many Jamaican specialties. And you will find our sumptuous buffets to be among the best anywhere!

MEETINGS & CONFERENCES: Meeting rooms include The Pineapple Room (air-conditioned, pictured at right), plus the Georgian and Hanover Rooms (both semi-enclosed, pictured below). The two largest can each accommodate up to 150 people theatre-style and up to 100 banquet style. Additionally, many of the villa living rooms are suitable for informal gatherings and break-out sessions. Audio/Visual facilities are available.

For those groups and meetings where there is a hierarchy among guests, Round Hill offers oceanfront hotel rooms, villa suites or entire villas, many with own private pool. Villas can be used for cocktail receptions either in the garden or pool side. There are also suitable areas in the main cocktail bar, the main pool deck, lower pool deck and the dining terraces.
