SPA & FITNESS: Charlie's Spa is San Souci's complete tropical-style facility, and has earned praise as one of the best spas in all the Caribbean by numerous publications, critics, travel guides and of course, by our guests. The spa got its name from "Charlie," a friendly resident sea turtle. Almost 100 years old, Charlie lives in the mineral spring grotto that bubbles up from beneath the resort with rejuvenating waters that rival the great natural mineral springs of Europe.

Our mineral waters are the source from which our location's popularity first sprang forth. As far back as the 1700s, the mineral springs on the Sans Souci property have been mentioned in Jamaican history books as being excellent for health purposes and renewing romantic energy. For generations, people from nearby villages would congregate on Sundays, lining up for the whole day to take their turn in the mineral spring for its curative powers.

Today Charlie's Spa offers a complete array of revitalizing and pampering treatments to relax and tone the body, mind and soul.

The 24-hour fitness center is complete with an indoor gym boasting the latest in aerobics equipment, exercise machines and free weights. We also offer classes in aerobics, yoga, aquacize, reggae dance and meditation. The mineral pool is right by the gym if you want to go for an energizing dip and, if you can't decide, personal trainers are available for every sport to assist you in developing a fitness schedule.

WEDDINGS: For couples planning a romantic wedding or renewal of vows we offer the perfect setting. Your ceremony and reception can take place in a variety of picturesque venues - on the beach, in a Jamaican garden or a beautiful gazebo atop rock cliffs overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

In addition to arranging all details and performing the ceremony, Sans Souci provides the marriage license and certificate, minister, witnesses, tropical bridal bouquet, boutonniere, champagne and wedding cake free of charge (excluding government taxes).

EVENING ENTERLUDES: - Romantic evenings offer nightly entertainment suited to many moods. Nostalgic piano melodies, dramatic floor shows, moonlight dancing or even the enchanting serenade of nocturnal tree frogs can be heard from the privacy of one's own balcony.

WATER SPORTS: Our two intimate coves offer beaches with warm sparkling clear water perfect for sunbathing, swimming and water sports including snorkeling, sailing, windsurfing, hydra-biking, kayaking, water skiing and scuba diving. Several pools and outdoor Jacuzzis are spread throughout the property and the more private beach is clothing optional.

RESTAURANT: Sans Souci has earned highest marks for its magnificent cuisine prepared by award winning chefs and served with gracious hospitality and a smile. Dining is an indulgence at Sans Souci, from gourmet dishes in the white-glove Casanova Restaurant to delicious fresh-made pastas at Ristorante Pallazina, to jerk chicken at our beachside Bella Vista. Not to be left out, the breakfast and luncheon buffets are sumptuous. The only thing that will never vary is the quality. It is always excellent. The weekly Jamaican Beach Party is a cultural medley of colors, music and traditional delicacies while the Friday Night Starlight Gala is a spectacular culinary showpiece.

MEETING & EVENTS: Whatever the occasion, Sans Souci Resort & Spa can arrange anything from a conservative business meeting to an outrageous wedding reception bash. Some of these services require an additional cost, however there is no charge for basic audio/visual equipment. Our grand suite seats 140 theatre style, 80 classroom style, and 150 cocktail reception style.
