| Manta Lodge, located at the north-eastern corner of the island of Tobago in the sleepy fishing village of Speyside, is nestled on the fringe of the Mountain Rain Forest, the oldest rainforest preserve in the Western Hemisphere. Embellished in old world Caribbean elegance, the cozy 22 room property may be small, but it still features a number of 'big' amenities.
The Lodge's serene and comfortable setting is the backdrop to a host of activities including bird watching, fishing, hiking, snorkeling and most especially, diving. Tobago's diving is unlike any to be found in the Caribbean, in large part due to it's extraordinarily nutrient rich waters and deep southern Caribbean location. |

Manta Lodge is set on the beach front and has 18 Superior rooms and 2 Loft rooms.
Superior rooms have ocean views leading to private porches or balconies, and offer quiet split-unit air-conditioning. In place of French doors leading to porches, the two Loft Rooms have a private exit that leads to their own ocean view roof deck. |

| FINE DINING an important part of Manta Lodge with breakfast, lunch and dinner served daily. Meal plans are available and can be tailored to meet you needs. Some of the exciting local foods you may see on the menu include adventurous items such as: Buljol and fried or roast bake, Pigeon peas soup, Choka and Sada Roti and Pelau.
Their foods are spicy and they love "Hot Sauce"! Not feeling so adventurous? Not to wory! Chef Joe will easily tempt your taste buds with the sauces and herbs used in his fine international cuisine.
In addition to sharing their local food, we also enjoy sharing our local music by inviting in one of the many talented Steel drum bands to play for their guests. |

MANTA DIVE SHOP filled with Mares and Scubapro equipment for retail, as they are dealers in all these manufacturers and more. A complete range of well maintained dive equipment is available for rental as well, including wet suits, BCD's, fins, masks, snorkels, computers, etc.
Their onsite compressor provides them with all the tank fills we need, in both 80 cubic and 63 cubic foot tanks. Tobago Dive Experience is housed within the grounds of Manta Lodge, within a five minute truck ride to our dive departure area at the Speyside Jetty.
There are some 30 dives in the Speyside area alone, ranging from Drift Dives, Wreck Dives and pelagic orientated dives, just about everything you may be looking for. The boat returns between each of the dives, to give you a chance to take a break, get a drink or light snack, before the optional second and third dives of the day. |
