| HOTEL DESCRIPTION |
The Dimond Center Hotel is owned by the Alaskan Natives of Seldovia. We invite you to visit our hometown when your sense of adventure takes you beyond your stay in Anchorage. Our concierge books exclusive side excursions to this alluring area for our guests.
Our remote village is about an hour away from Anchorage via small plane, across the bay from Homer on the Kenai Peninsula. The Seldovia Native Association, Incorporated has just over 300 members and represents a mixture of the indigenous people of Alaska Eskimos, Athabascan Indians and Aleuts.
Pristine lands owned by the Seldovia Natives include some of the worlds most spectacular landscapes. Old growth rainforests, rugged mountains, ice blue glaciers, and sparkling blue-green waters sheltered in dramatic fjords make up our home. Wildlife is abundant, fishing is incredible, and birding or marine mammal viewing are spectacular in our quiet corner of Alaska. |

Luxury linens lay atop the exceptional mattress and spring unit that create the foundation for the best nights sleep you have ever experienced.
The warm sepia of Seldovia artist Diane Widoms octopus ink portraits of traditional Eskimo women and their beautiful hand-woven sea grass baskets add a graceful elegance. |

MEETINGS & CONFERENCES: Since serious issues require an inspiring environment, meeting planners will appreciate the care-in-detail of the well-appointed Chesloknu Meeting Room located on the main floor.
Custom-crafted solid hardwood desks and unusually comfortable upholstered chairs make this classroom for adults the an exceptional choice for a productive and enjoyable meeting. The versatility of the Chesloknu Meeting Room also makes it a good choice for other events or social functions.
Stately, elegant and forward-thinking, the Kachemak Bay Boardroom takes your quarterly meeting to the next level. An eye catching table with a custom-crafted one-of-a-kind design is supported by chairs so grand the set is truly a work of art. A functional and comfortable setting statesmen will appreciate.
Celebrating the majestic beauty of Kachemak Bay, this boardroom transports you to a magical space one always longs for, but rarely finds in a meeting room. |
DININGS & BARS: The Camel Rock Lounge is named for a rugged rock formation in the waters located off of Seldovias Inside Beach. For centuries it has been a place of reflection, and a relaxing location to wait for the tides to bring new opportunities.
An antique Russian samovar greets you in the morning as does the fresh aroma of our Starbucks® Espresso Bar and the pleasant smile of our professional barista.
Comfortable leather chairs invite a relaxing conversation or a spirited boardgame. The ageless elegance of antique inlayed wood tables recalls the craftsmanship of yesteryear and stories of great Alaskan adventures long remembered with a reflective smile.
The delicious aroma of the Inside Beach Breakfast Bar fills the lobby each morning. The Inside Beach is the place to watch the sun rise in Seldovia, a beautiful way to start the day. Our breakfast bar is incredible - fresh made vanilla scented Belgian waffles, seasonal fruit, and warm maple syrup fill the curved counter along with toast and jam, yogurt, hot and cold cereals, and fresh baked pastries.
The visual feast is just as inviting. Kachemak Bays marine mammals dance in the Prussian blue waters before you, their mirth and grace untraditionally captured in the whimsical style of Alaskan artist Karla Morreiras original watercolors. The custom crafted white oak furniture is fashioned in a timeless design inspired by pieces found in a 16th century Austrian castle.
A traditional variety of juices, milk, and hot beverages are readily available at the Inside Beach Breakfast Bar - but if something a bit more exciting is your morning pick-me-up, step into the Camel Rock Lounge & Espresso Bar for StarbucksR specialty drinks: espresso, flavored lattes, cappuccinos, mochas, and more. |
