| HOTEL DESCRIPTION |
Furnace Creek Inn & Ranch Resort is one resort with two hotels, an oasis 18-hole golf course (the world's lowest course at 214 feet below sea level), four restaurants, a saloon, a cocktail lounge, retails outlets, a Borax Museum, spring-fed swimming pools, tennis courts, horseback riding, horse-drawn carriage rides, a children's playground, massage therapy, a 3,000 foot airstrip, a service station and conference and banquet facilities for 10 - 120. (Some services are available only on a seasonal basis.)
The luxury mission-style Inn has been offering grace and refinement to its guests since its opening in 1927 and its oasis gardens with meandering streams and palm groves are now world famous. The Ranch, which takes you back to the early West, has been an operating business since 1881 and was the original home of the now famous Borax 20-mule teams.
The Furnace Creek Inn & Ranch Resort is situated in a lush oasis surrounded by the vast and arid desert of Death Valley National Park, California - just 120 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada and 275 miles northeast of Los Angeles, California. There are salt flats, ancient geological formations, chiseled canyons and the lowest point in the Americas, Badwater at 282 feet below sea level. The surrounding majestic mountains rise to 11,500 feet. The resort presents a complete contrast to this desolate landscape and consists of the historic, 4-diamond, 66 room Furnace Creek Inn and the more family oriented 224 room. |

| ROOM FEATURES |
The jewel of Death Valley, the Inn offers luxury and timeless elegance. Nestled against the Funeral Mountains and overlooking the desert salt pans and majestic Panamint Mountains, the Inn offers 66 newly redecorated rooms including suites, fine dining, a spring-fed swimming pool, lighted tennis courts, gift shop, conference rooms, massage therapy and a world renown oasis garden laden with towering palm trees and meandering streams.
All rooms at the Furnace Creek Inn are non-smoking rooms. Smoking allowed outside only. All rooms have recently been redecorated, have air conditioning, televisions, data port telephones, pay for view movies, free HBO,Nintendo games, refrigerators, irons, ironing boards, hair dryers, bathroom amenities and terry robes. Most rooms have decks or terraces. Some rooms have spa tubs. |

Furnace Creek offers a wide range of dining options, from the elegance of the Inn Dining Room to the casual atmosphere of the Forty Niner Cafe, Corkscrew Saloon and the Wrangler Steakhouse. Golfers also enjoy the 19th. Hole (October - June), a unique, verandah-style bar and grill adjacent to the golf pro shop.
You can experience the charm of fine dining in one of the world's most remote settings. Serving all three meals from a menu incorporating Classical, Continental, Southwestern and Pacific-Rim influences. Full cocktail service, espresso service and a fine California varietal wine list are available. |
