HOTEL DESCRIPTION: The Kabul Serena Hotel, conveniently located in the centre of Kabul city overlooking the famous Zarnegar Park, is situated close to all the Embassies and Ministries, and is just 20 minutes from the airport. Built in 1945, amid landscaped gardens, the hotel has undergone a complete refurbishment, through the rehabilitation of the existing building and the addition of a completely new section. The hotel dominates a busy junction and is situated in the city’s commercial centre. The hotel has two restaurants, modern banqueting and meeting facilities, wellness facilities, an up-market shopping area, a pastry shop and a laundry shop. Café Zarnegar

Enjoy the modern, elegant look of Café Zarnegar. Savour the tranquillity along with the sumptuous food. If you prefer something a little less formal, Café Zarnegar with its traditional charm, is an ideal place.

Café Zarnegar is inspirationally designed, looking out onto a landscaped court on one side and a view of the garden on the other. The ambience is modern yet in keeping with the local culture. The shades of green, pink, cream and magenta taken from Afghan costumes set a soft tone creating a fascinating atmosphere.

Sumptuous buffets are prepared for breakfast, lunch and dinner offering a range of international and local cuisines. An a la carte menu of international and local specialities is also available. Friday Brunch is already the place to meet in Kabul between 11 am and 4 pm.

Silk Route Restaurant

Residents' Lounge
Timings: 06:30 a.m. to 09:30 p.m.
Sink into the relaxing environment and comfortable seating of the Residents’ Lounge. The ethnic touch with the local artefacts all add to the atmosphere and warmth of the lounge. So whether you just want to relax, meet a client, or read a newspaper, the Residents Lounge offers the idyllic setting.

Char Chata
Timings: 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Char Chata with its four gigantic arches, retained from the original hotel building, give the lounge an old world charm. Comfortable seats with rich Afghan upholstery, local artefacts and carpets, tables designed with wood all blend perfectly with the ethnic flavour and modern setting. Char Chata offers a wide variety of beverages to choose from and serves sweet and savoury pastries direct from our Pastry shop located next door.

Room Service
Enjoy your breakfast, a light snack, a tempting lunch, a quiet dinner or simply a glass of juice in the comfortable environment of your room. Choose from a complete selection of hot and cold dishes and beverages offered in the Room Service menu (available in your room) and savour the truly temping dishes. Room Service is available round the clock (between 11:00pm to 6:30am a limited menu will be offered).
