Arrival Paro |
The
flight into the Himalayas reveals breathtaking view of the World
highest peaks,taking you right into the Dragon kingdom cloud scraping
airstrips at the lush green valley of Paro (alt.7000ft) Your Bhutanese
escort from Bhutan Ancient Tours will reet you on arrival and
drive you to the hotel. After lunch visit Ta-Dzong (National Museum)
considered to be one of the best natural and historical Museum.
Then walk down hill to visit Paro Dzong with its traditional cantilever
bridge over the Pa-chu (Paro River). Evening at leisure in the

Paro to Thimphu |
Early
morning drive to Thimphu (2 Hrs) The day begins with a visit to
the National Memorial Chorten built in memory of our late King
Jigme Dorji Wangchuk and the Dupthop Lhakhang one of the few surviving
nunneries in Bhutan. Then visit the Traditional Medicine Institute
where medicines are prepared according to ancient practices
After Lunch visit the Handicraft Emporium and the Majestic Tashicho
Dzong, the main administrative center for Thimphu valley.Finally
visit the weekend market where all the Thimphu locals come to
shop for the week.Evening leisure at the town.

03
Thimphu – Punakha - Wangdi |
Today
drive to Punakha (3Hrs) (Ancient capitol of Bhutan)through the
National Highway via Dochula pass (3100m) marked by a large array
of prayer flags and a chorten. On a clear day a close-up view
of the Bhutan's highest Himalayas bordering China can be seen.
From the cold of Thimphu to the hot, almost -tropical country
of the Punakha valley. Short walks and stops during drive to get
the beauty of the nature and country. Option you can take a short
walk to Chime Lhakhang through the village of Mesina, the Lhakhang
is known for childless women to go and receive a magic wang (Blessing
from the temple). Built in the 15th century by the Divine made
man so called Lama Drukpa Kunlay and the new born will get its
name by Chime or Kunlay. See Punakha Dzong, built in 1636 and
remained as capital till the 2nd King of Bhutan. It's still the
winter residence of the Central monk body. In the recent year
1994 a glacial lake burst on the Pho chu source causing big damage
that has been since been repaired. The whole of Punakha Dzong

Wangdi -Phobjikha- Paro |
Today
you can drive to one of the most beautiful valley to see the Blacked
neck cranes (globally endangered) …through the Pelela Pass,
which divides east and west of Bhutan. |

Wangdi - Paro |
Today
drive to Paro (4 Hrs) .After Lunch visit the ruins of Drukgyel
Dzong (18 kms from the hotel). This Dzong is one of the historical
importances, from whose ramparts the Bhutanese rebelled the Tibetan
invaders. On a clear day, the 24000ft (7314m) white doomed Mount.
Jomolhari looms overhead. Visit Kyichu Monastery, built in 7th
century by a Tibetan king named Songtsen Gompo. Overnight Hotel

Paro |
The
day begins with hike to Taktsang monastery (Alt 3100m) one of
the highlights of Bhutan. (The holy cave dates back to 8th century)
and surrounding temples built in 1692 by the 4th Desi Tenzin Rabgay.
In 1998 a fire cause still unknown, destroyed the main structure
of Taktsang and it’s contains. Re-construction work is just
completed years ago. It’s about one & half hr walk up
hill to Taksang cafeteria. Lunch will be served here. After or
before lunch you can hike till monastery and visit the monastery
with the special permit. |

TARIFF |
a. DIPLOMATS from foreign embassies/missions accredited to Bhutan
shall be given a 25% discount on the daily rates.
b. There shall be no charge for CHILDREN up to the age of 5 years.
However, those between the age of 6 to 12 years accompanied by elders/guardians
shall be given a 40% discount on daily rates.
c. Full time Students below the age of 25 years holding valid identity
cards from their academic institutions shall also be given a 25%
discount on daily rates.
d. A discount of 50% on daily rates shall be given to one person
in a group of 11 to 15 persons.A 100% discount shall be given to
one member in a group exceeding 16 persons.

| DELAYED
ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE |

There shall be no fixed charge for the number of days of delay in
arrival of visitors due to weather conditions, Druk Air problems
or road blocks except for minimum charge on hotel cancellation,
transport & guide.
b. There shall be no charge for the number of days of delay in departure
of visitor due to weather conditions, Druk Air problems or road
blocks. They will be charged only the actual expenses on accommodation,
food transport and any other services required. |
