*Tour start with a minimum of 1 persons The best preserved of the temples around Battambang, Wat Bannon lies immediately at the top of a steep laterite stairway which ascends an eighty-metre-high hill. The five prasats dating from the 11th century give it a distinctive Angkor Wat look. Climb the 337 steps to reach the temple and enjoy the breathtaking view over the surrounding plains. From October to June only with 4WD Banteay Chmar, rarely visited temple to the North-West of Angkor, was one of the capitals of Jayavarman II and dedicated to his son and four generals who were killed in battle repelling a Cham invasion in 1177. Banteay Chmar, because of its secluded location, received a few visitors only and waits to be discovered. Drive from Siem Reap approx. 150 km towards West. Visit the temple and stop at "Les soieries du Mekong", a French NGO, which provides training to young Cambodians in an effort to revive the ancient Khmer traditions of silk weaving. Continue to Sisophon for lunch in a local restaurant, before heading back to Siem Reap. Note: The road condition can be very difficult during the rainy season.

On the way back, stop to visit Banteay Srei temple before continuing to Siem Reap.
