THE PEAK (INCLUDE ONE WAY PEAK TRAM RIDE)
Most people today ride up on the famous Peak Tram, built in 1888, an impossibly steep but wonderful way to reach the Peak Tower, a small complex of shops, cafes and other minor attractions at the tram's upper terminal. Sit on the right of the tram for the best views, and be certain to wait for a clear day to make the trip. Do not leave the Tower complex - which is a little disorientating - without riding the escalators to the outdoor observation deck: the views are breathtaking. |
REPLUSE BAY (DRIVE BY)
One of Hong Kong most popular and beautiful beaches. Overlooking Repulse Bay is the former Repulse Bay Hotel, which has long been a landmark of the southern side of the island. Huge statues of Tin Haul, Goddess of the Sea and Klum Yum, Goddess of Mercy now overlook the beach. |
ABERDEEN FISHING VILLAGE (WITH SAMPAN RIDE)
Traditional and often impoverished ways of life still prevail, however, none more striking than the harbor’s hundreds of junks and sampans, old-fashioned boats which provide floating homes for thousands of people. Taking a ride on one of the boats is a popular activity - people trying to sell you a trip - but try to stick with licensed operators will inevitably approach you. Alternatively take a shuttle boat to one of the harbor’s famous’ floating restaurants', vast and gaudily decorated affairs aimed unashamedly at tourists, but fun nevertheless. |
GEM FACTORY OUTLET
The outlet located in Aberdeen mainly reserved for foreigners. There are four floors of showrooms, and also have a workshop providing free polishing and repairing services to customers. Almost all jewellery products set with precious and semi-precious stones are available and make-to0order service is also provided. The factory has won a lot of jewellery design competition in the world. |

JUMBO FLOATING RESTAURANT (DIM SUM LUNCH)
Jumbo Floating Restaurant – aside from feasting every imaginable appetite, the Restaurant will dazzle visitors with the same auspicious stories decorating regal residences of old, told through illustrious craftsmanship in the wealth of treasures on these world-renowned floating fantasies.

STANLEY MARKET
Most people come here for the market, however, located just up the road from the harbour. Over the years it's become known for its bargain clothes, though these days’ prices are not as keen as they were. It's still fun to browse, however, and the stalls are as good a place as anywhere in Hong Kong to buy souvenir T-shirts or inexpensive Chinese artifacts and household goods. After seeing the market wander down to Stanley's waterfront Main Street, lined with bars, pubs and restaurants popular with ex-pats. At its western end stands the Tin Hau Temple (1767), one of the oldest in Hong Kong. |

The museum occupies a landscaped and slightly over-restored walled village dating from 1786. It consists of a number of individual village houses; each decorated in period style and designed to illustrate a particular aspect of traditional village life, including furniture-making, farming, festivals, handicrafts and ritual ceremonies. |
YUEN YUEN INSTITUTE
The Yuen Yuen Institute is the only temple in Hong Kong dedicated to all three major Chinese religions: Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism. The first three Chinese characters of the Institute's name denote the essence of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism respectively, so as to advocate the integration and realization of the three religions' teachings. |
TAI FU TAI MANDARIN’S MANSION
Tai Fu Tai, is an opulent stately residence built in 1865 by a senior Man clan member who achieved high grades in the Imperial Chinese Civil Service Examinations and was bestowed the title of Tai Fu (mandarin) by the Qing emperor. The extravagantly designed interior boasts three courtyards and is a striking example of how high-ranking officials once lived. |
TAI PO WET MARKET & MAN MO TEMPLE
Aside from colorful shopping, Tai Po Market is worth visiting for this smoky temple, which not only honors the gods of Man (literature god) and Mo (military god) but also acts as a local gathering point for the area's elderly. The front courtyard, planted with palms, provides shade for those taking a rest on the benches, whilst just inside the temple itself there is usually a crowd in the midst of lively conversation. Large incense coils with red prayer plaques hang from the ceiling and add an all-pervasive scent to the atmosphere of this picturesque temple. |

HONG KONG MUSEUM OF HISTORY
This appealing little museum has always bucked the trend, emphasizing the history and culture of the indigenous peoples who have occupied the region over the centuries. In it the city's 6,000-year history is traced with a changing selection of exhibits from the museum's large archaeological and ethnographic collections.
The Museum closed on Tuesday & the spot will be replaced by Hong Kong Museum of Art for the day.
HONG KONG MUSEUM OF ART
It is the mission of the Hong Kong Museum of Art to preserve the cultural heritage of China and promote art with a local focus. Its collections now number in excess of 15,700 art objects, including Chinese paintings and calligraphy works, antique Chinese treasures, paintings of historical significance as well as creations by local artists. The highlights of the collections are on display in the exhibition galleries. To maintain an essential international character, the museum also presents a great variety of thematic exhibitions drawn from local and overseas sources. |
CHE KUNG TEMPLE (TAIWAI)
The Che Kung Miu near Tai Wai, in Sha Tin District, New Territories, is the most famous one in Hong Kong. During the second and the third days of Lunar New Year, thousands of people go to this temple to worship, including many local Hong Kong government officials. The current Che Kung temple, in Japanese-style, was built in 1993-1994 at a cost of HK$48 million. It is eight times the size of the old one. The main hall contains a giant statue of Che Kung. Next to it is a fan-bladed wheel of fortune, which, worshippers believe, will bring good luck when turned three times. Fortune-tellers can be found within the temple. |
BIRD MARKET
This charming Chinese-style garden is the favoured gathering place of Hong Kong's songbird owners, who carry their beloved pets around in intricately carved cages. All manner of beautiful birds can be seen here, as well as a selection of traditional bird-keeping paraphernalia. Located on Yuen Po Street in Mong Kok, the market contains some 70 songbird stalls as well as interesting courtyards and moon gates. It's open from 7am to 8pm. |
KOWLOON WALLED CITY PARK
The design of the park was inspired by the Jiangnan garden style of the early Qing Dynasty. Construction began in May 1994, with a work-force of skilled artisans from the Mainland being employed to ensure accurate reproduction of the classical concept. |

HOLLYWOOD ROAD

In these streets are a myriad of antique and bric-a-brac shops, the perfect place for unusual souvenirs or, possibly, genuine antiques for the serious collectors. Most of the side streets in this area are packed with stalls selling cheap clothing, leather goods, food and everything needed in everyday life at prices that you will not find in the shopping plazas. |
MAN MO TEMPLE
This temple is never short of worshipers, offering incense and food to the deities especially during the first and the fifteenth-day of each Chinese lunar month, Chinese New Year, major festivals and before or after the school terms. The temple next door, houses different deities and Buddha(s). WATERFRONT PROMENADE
Hong Kong's biggest attraction is the city itself, and often the best things about it are free. This is especially true of its views, and in particular those from the wide public walkway that hugs the Kowloon waterfront east of the Star Ferry Pier and Hong Kong Cultural Centre. You could, if you wished, follow this promenade as far as the Kowloon-Canton Railway Station, though views across the harbour to Hong Kong Island are outstanding from any point along its extensive length. Come here to dodge the joggers, wonder at the fishermen - the harbour is famously polluted - and enjoy the constantly changing picture of yachts, tugs and a myriad other boats busying across the water. It's well worth taking this stroll at night to enjoy the spectacle of the city's lights glittering across the water. |
SYMPHONY OF LIGHT
A Symphony of Lights a synchronized building exterior decorative light and laser multimedia display, featuring 44 buildings on both sides of the Victoria Harbour of Hong Kong accompanied by music. The technology was developed by Australian firm Laser vision and cost approximately 44 million HK dollars. It has attracted over 4 million visitors and locals so far, and is held every night for ten minutes. |
PEKING GARDEN RESTAURANT
Founded in 1978, Peking Garden Restaurant is a renowned dining institution in Hong Kong, famed for its world-famous PEKING DUCK that has won many accolades. The BEGGAR’S CHICKEN is another dish that boasts a unique flavor. The clay-breaking ceremony of the BEGGAR’S CHICKEN, the chef’s demonstrations in slicing the crispy duck skin, and the noodle-making often stir up the moods of the diners. |
TEMPLE STREET
Few places in Hong Kong are livelier than Temple Street, heart of a market whose appeal is enhanced by the fact that it's at its busiest at night. The market's popularity with visitors has driven prices up, so the bargains are not what they were, though most of the food and other stalls are still aimed at locals rather than tourists. If you want to buy mainly clothes, shoes, leather, watches and everyday items then plump for the shops hidden in the streets behind the stalls rather than the stalls themselves. The market livens up after about 8PM and continues in a frenzy of light, colour and crowds until around 11, though it and other markets in the parallel streets are also open during the day. There are fortune-tellers, street doctors, impromptu performances of Chinese opera and people playing mahjong (listen for the familiar clack of the counters). |

NGONG PING 360 CABLE CAR
Visitors will enjoy some of the best views during their joyful 25-minute ride: the vistas of the distant and vast South China Sea and the rolling grassland slopes of North Lantau Country Park from the cable car dramatically change from the hustle and bustle of the city, to the serene and natural surrounds that Lantau is famed for. Ever-changing panoramic views also include the Hong Kong International Airport, verdant, mountainous terrain of Lantau Island, the Tian Tan Buddha Statue and the 360-degree view of the Ngong Ping Plateau. |
NGONG PING VILLAGE
Ngong Ping Village is set on a 1.5 hectare site on Lantau Island, adjacent to Ngong Ping Cable Car Terminal and the Tina Tan Buddha Statue. This amazing cultural themed village has been architecturally designed and landscaped to reflect the cultural and spiritual integrity of the Ngong Ping area. It boasts several major attractions - Walking with Buddha and the Monkey's Tale Theatre (Optional & not include for the two shows) - as well as a diverse array of retail, dining and entertainment experiences. |
PO LIN MONBASTERY & GIANT BUDDHA (WITH VEGETARIAN LUNCH)
The Po Lin temple built in 1924 is situated on Lantau Island. Known as the "Buddhist Kingdom in the South", it ranks first as the most magnificent structures amongst the four popular Buddhist temples in Hong Kong. After visiting the temple, if you want to see the sun rise on the Fongwongshan Mountain next early morning, you can stay in the temple (accommodations can be providing along with exceptional vegetarian dishes). From the gate of the temple, you can see a big copper statue of Sakyamuni located on the top of the Muyushan Mountain. The statue is 26 meters high and weighs 250 metric tons. The pedestal of the statue is a three-story exhibition hall in which there is a big bell. The bell is delicately engraved with Buddhist figures and Buddhist scriptures. Controlled by a computer, the bell is rung once every seven minutes, 108 times a day-in essence to "relieve" 108 vexations. Visitors to this temple are welcomed to browse the temple grounds and those famished can treat themselves to a hearty vegetarian meal served by resident monks in a huge dining hall. |
