THEATRE
Big glitzy Broadway-style musicals are always popular in Hong Kong, the most recent being a long run of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s most successful musical ever, The Phantom of the Opera. Other big draws have been Rent, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning American musical starring local celebrity Karen Mok; old favourite The Sound of Music which celebrated its 45th anniversary in Hong Kong; and Saturday Night Fever and Mamma Mia! featuring the music of the Bee Gees. Other hits have been Singin' In The Rain, Fame - the Musical, Les Misérables, and CHICAGO - The Musical.

DANCE
The eclectic world of movement exists in many shapes and forms within Hong Kong, from classical ballet to contemporary Chinese dance. Hong Kong boasts a variety of homegrown dance companies and plays host to dance companies from North America, Europe and the rest of Asia. Hong Kong Salsa Festival 2007 Calling all dance enthusiasts! It’s the Hong Kong Salsa Festival 2007, a 7-days-and-nights dance extravaganza for everyone. This celebration features road shows, club parties, open competitions, Colombian a live band from Columbia, live African dance show and a host of other African live show, performances. Learn to Salsa yourself and enjoy dance lessons given by instructions from top international and local Salsa experts.

SPORT
Throughout the year, Hong Kong offers a stunning array of sporting events to satisfy the most ardent sports fan. Badminton, horseracing, rugby, cricket, golf, tennis, soccer, marathon running, squash and dragon boat racing are just some of the exciting events Hong Kong has lined up. In less than two years, the Events Capital of Asia will host the equestrian events as Hong Kong's contribution to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

FESTIVALS
Festival Canada
4 May to 2 September 2007
Festival Canada presents a summer celebration of food, arts, culture and sports. There's a host of events including Family Skate Day, Canadian plays and Canada D'eh!, an annual Chamber street party held in the streets of Lan Kwai Fong on 30 June. All friends of Canada are invited to take part in the festivities.
Mexican September 2007

Celebrate Mexican culture and indulge yourself in a month-long feast of the arts, music and food. This is the biggest promotional event of its kind for Mexico in Southeast Asia. On tap are a series of exciting events featuring music performances, Mexican crafts, painting exhibitions, film presentations and workshops on preparing Mexican food and drink and more.
Spain in Hong Kong
