HOTEL FACILITIES: Fenix: Fenix, the new and stylish all-day dining restaurant, serves the best of world cuisine with distinctive creativity. An abundance of natural light, cheery interiors and relaxed seating provide an easy familiarity which makes diners feel welcome at any time of the day. A versatile space, Fenix lends itself to all types of dining occasions, from a business breakfast, to an informal lunch, or even an intimate dinner. The menu features European, Asian and Indian specialities, in addition to traditional Japanese delicacies like sushi, sashimi and maki hand rolls. Innovative items on the menu include Brie and Grape Quesadilla; Grilled Basil Chicken with Zucchini Risotto and Watercress; Tempura-fried Bay of Bengal Bekti; Lemongrass flavoured Chicken Broth with Enoki Mushrooms and Ginkgo Nuts, amongst others. It is open from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Sushi is served from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Vetro: Vetro, the Italian restaurant, presents the best of traditional and modern Italian cuisine with a strong creative element. The adjacent Enoteca, a glass-encased wine cellar with 1200 bottles of the finest Italian wines, allows for perfect food and wine pairing. Vetro, which means glass in Italian, is situated at the lobby level. The restaurant owes its name to the extensive use of coloured and clear glass in its interiors. The glass captures the sunlight in different hues, changing the mood of the restaurant at different times of the day. The ambiance of the restaurant exudes contemporary elegance with a natural Crema Marfil marble floor, lacquered panels and furnishing in neutral tones. The restaurant’s kitchen plays an important role in the overall ambience, offering a large picture window through which diners can observe their meals being prepared. The culinary essence of Vetro is traditional and authentic Italian cuisine with a strong creative element. The new perspective on Italian food makes the meal a gastronome’s delight. The Enoteca includes a wine tasting table where guests may sample and select wines before proceeding for dinner. Lunch is served from 12:30 p.m. to 2.45 p.m. Dinner is available between 7.00 p.m. to 11.30 p.m.
Ziya: Ziya, the new Indian speciality restaurant under the direction of the two Michelin starred Chef Vineet Bhatia, presents a distinctive dining experience. The menu explores cuisine from several regions of the subcontinent reflecting Chef Bhatia’s understanding and passion for fine food and intense flavours. Located on the upper lobby level, Ziya features evocative contemporary Indian interiors that are a dramatic play of burnished gold and charcoal. The black granite and dark wood floor augment the delicate trellis (jali) finished in traditional gold leaf work and the burnished gold wall of the show kitchen. This is enhanced by magnificent panoramas of the Arabian Sea through large picture windows. Chef Vineet Bhatia, considered Britain’s most talented Indian chef, earned Indian cuisine its first Michelin star in 2001 by breaking boundaries in the combination of ingredients and his creative style of presentation. Lunch is served from 12:30 p.m. to 2.45 p.m. Dinner is available between 7.00 p.m. to 11.30 p.m.
The Eau Bar: Commanding enchanting views over the Arabian Sea framed by large picture windows, the inviting and upbeat ambiance of The Eau Bar is ideal for evenings at leisure. The impeccably white Thassos marble floor enhances the sense of space. This is offset by carpeting in shades of charcoal. The back-lit wall and tabletops in Thassos marble add a dramatic flourish accentuated by the striking tubular glass chandelier. An extensive beverage list features a selection of fine wine, an inspired cocktail menu in addition to premium spirits and liqueurs. This is complemented by a light hors d'oeuvres and snacks menu. A live jazz band in the evenings completes the experience. The Eau Bar is open from 12.00 noon to 1.00 a.m.
The Champagne Lounge: The Champagne Lounge, located just off the lobby and framed against a dramatic view of the Arabian Sea, serves an extensive selection of champagne and teas. It offers a comfortable rendezvous for gourmet snacks, light meals and beverages. The perfect place to sip a champagne as the sun slowly sets over the ocean. The Champagne Lounge is open all day from 5:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
