LOCATION:
Constructed
in late 18th century the Castle (Garh) of Jhalamand is situated
just on the outskirts of Jodhpur on the Udaipur-Ahmedabad highway,
surrounded by village Jhalamand. Recognized as a member of the
Heritage Association in India, and associated with `Seasons Hospitality
Management'. Jhalamand Garh offers highly personalized services
as its managed and run by the Jhalamand family itself.
Its
proximity to Jodhpur (7 kms.) makes it an ideal place to spend
a peaceful holiday in a quiet rural atmosphere. It gives a guest
a chance to see a traditional Rajput home and also participate
in their customs. Guests are received in traditional Rajasthani
Rajput customs and are made to feel part of the family. Hence
the departures are often sentimental as one feels, is leaving
his or her home and dear ones.
ACCOMMODATION:
The
Castle offers 18 Double Ac. elegantly maintained Rooms with dressings
and bath, running hot and cold water. The magnificent `Darikhana'
or 'Diwan-E-Aam' where the Rulers used to hold Darbars is now
used as the Lobby. Lush green lawns are very welcome site in this
otherwise arid region.
RESTAURANT:
Beautiful
arched verandahs surround the dining hall `Aab-O-Dana' where an
aroma of delicately spiced food wafts over from the royal kitchens.
Every recipe is traditional, handed down the generations. The
fixed menu meals offered is the very best of Rajasthani Cuisine,
food favoured by the Royalty. The Hotel Terraces affords a panoramic
view of Jodhpur city glittering in the night like a Queen's necklace
with Mehrangarh Fort and Umaid Bhawan in the background
