ROOM FEATURES
Inspired and designed after the style of a traditional Malay village, Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa, Langkawi's architecture was conceptualised to blend in with the environment. Characteristically raised on stilts, they feature sloping roofs, exposed roof tiles, trusses and a private balcony. Enter into a world of casual simplicity where each chalet belies the luxurious traditional charm quality within. Elegantly furnished in soft, pastel colours, each guestroom is thoughtfully equipped with modern amenities while the lighting creates a soft, cosy ambience. To enhance further the character of the wooden room interior, natural textured material such as sisal carpet panels and nyatoh flower motifs have been added to the wall as decorative pieces.
With 46.5 square metre double storey blocks, Superior rooms enjoy the award winning garden as the view. But it is in close proximity to the resort’s 2 designer pools and beachfront. For deluxe rooms, you have the lake, pool or sea facing rooms to choose from.

Housed in a 46 square metre double storey chalet, the Meritus Club is located at an exclusive and secluded location in the resort. Special features include fruit basket, 24 hour room service, in-room registration, tea/coffee making facilities, weighing scale, colour TV, in room safe, IDD telephone, mini bar, hair dryer and bathrobes. A choice of either king or twin beds is available.
Established on a more intimate scale, the Pelangi Suites are located in single storey chalets. Each Pelangi Suite comprises a bedroom and a studio. Guests enjoy in room registration. |
No less comfortable than the Kedah Suites are the Langkawi Suites. Occupying single-storey chalets, these bungalows comprise a bedroom, adjoining parlour and dining room complete with mini-bar. Housed in single-storey chalets, these chalets feature fruit baskets, bathrobes, 24 hour room service, in-room registration, complimentary tea/coffee making facilities, colour TV, video cassette recorder, and in-room locker.
Located right by the beachfront, the Kedah Suites have a spectacular view of the unspoilt beaches flanked with lush tropical flora and waving palms.
Designed and built specifically for the Commonwealth Heads of Government weekend retreat in 1989, these prestigious bungalow chalets were first used to house the former Prime Minister of Britain, Mrs Margaret Thatcher, The Ruler of Brunei, His Royal Highness Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and other world political figures. The same chalets were also home to the Royalties of Malaysia during their conference two years later.
