Bagan Thiripyistaya Sanctuary Resort is situtated on the banks of the Irrawaddy, Myanmar's river of history and legend. The Resort sprawls over 24 acres of landscaped gardens, which is home to mature tropical trees and flowering plants, as well as native birds and a number of small tame animals. Oriented towards the west, the Resort revels in panoramic river views, glorious sunsets and silver moonglow, and a pervading atmosphere of profound peace, warmth and comfort.

ACCOMMODATION

Bagan Thiripyitsaya Sanctuary Resort has a total of 76 guest rooms, from superior rooms to lavish suites. Each one is decorated in Myanmar style, with an abundance of wood and local materials. All conceivable comforts are provided for guests’ ease and convenience, from personal safes, mini-bars, individual airconditioning controls, satellite television channels to kimonos and hair dryers.

Suites

All 8 suites open to the Irrawaddy River, each with a wide verandah from which to view dramatic sunsets. Comprising 60 square meters, a suite has a sitting room, a bedroom and a well-appointed bathroom including a terrazzo bathtub, allowing one to soak while enjoying peaceful river views. The suites are housed in villas located far away from the Reception to ensure privacy and quiet.

Deluxe River View

Deluxe River View Rooms boast of huge picture windows, which look out to the Irrawaddy River. Each has a private verandah where lounging chairs are placed for relaxation. Bathrooms are provided with bath tubs. Deluxe Garden View Rooms look out to the landscaped gardens. Each has a spacious verandah and a bath tub installed in the bathroom.

Superior Rooms

Superior rooms are surrounded by greenery, and each has its own verandah. One always feels just a few steps away from nature. Bathrooms are provided with standing showers.

Dining

The Bagan Thiripyitsaya Sanctuary Resort is known for its cuisine of the highest standard. Various menus, from Myanmar, Asian, Western, to vegetarian as well as low-calorie, are available.

Only the freshest, safest meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients are used in food preparation. Organic vegetables and herbs are grown in the Resort’s own vegetable garden. Strict hygiene is observed in the kitchens; all raw food materials are washed and rinsed using only purified water.

A selective wine list from which guests can choose the accompaniment to complement their repasts has also been prepared.

Thiripyitsaya Spa

To soothe the body and mind, one can find relief and comfort by choosing from several treatments at the Thiripyitsaya Spa. A menu of Massages, Body Treatments, Wraps and Scrubs, Facials, as well as multi-course full Spa programs is offered by skilled and well-trained Spa therapists. Before the start of each session, each guest is asked about individual preferences, thereby ensuring a most pleasant Spa experience. Spa services can be availed of indoors in the Spa building, or at the outdoor Spa on the banks of the Irrawaddy river.

Swimming Pool

Whether you would like to swim laps or simply frolic in the water, the Resort pool, being the largest in the area, offers enough space for all. The special salt chlorination system ensures clean and gentle water always, and the wide deck around the pool allows ample room for lounging in the sun.

“The Thiripyitsaya” Boutique

A choice collection of Myanmar souvenirs is offered at “The Thiripyitsaya” Boutique, located next to the Reception. Hand-woven lotus fabric, antique lacquer ware, originally designed jewelry, photographs and artwork, handicraft, silverware, longyi, books and postcards, as well as film, sunblock, bathing suits and other practical goods are available.

LOCATION MAP

Bagan Thiripyitsaya Sanctuary Resort is located a few minutes’ drive from the Bagan/Nyaung Oo Airport. Following a westerly direction toward the Irrawaddy River, the roads pass through numerous important pagodas and monuments on the way to the Resort.
