A grand celebration of the founding of the civil government of Palawan, its highlights are the LGU Trade and Food Fair, and colorful parade with participation from the different municipalities and private sectors, featuring the ethnic groups and the coronation of Ms. Palawan.

Pagdiwata ritual is a family affair and is the focal point of Tagbanua life. Its activities embody their traditional sentiments and contribute to their persistence. It is also used for securing seance when people are sick especially when treated by their relatives as a medium. It includes offering of wine, nuts, wax, food and many other commodities. Pagdiwata is also an offering to celebrate a bountiful harvest or a successful hunting trip. Among all functionaries, the Babaylan (high priest/priestess) is the most powerful and influential. Folk tradition dictates that disrespect for the Babaylan will result in severe punishment by the supernaturals. Activities during the ritual: a. Planting b. War dance/ hunting c. Harvesting d. Tarek e. Pagsuldan - the most prominent feature of the Pagdiwata wherein the Babaylan has possessed the spirits being called for.


TAREK FESTIVAL
(3rd week of January; Aborlan town proper)
For the Tagbanuas, it is a dance ritual comprising the observance of the Pagdiwata. For the Batak tribe, it is a form of war dance.

It is a celebration of the founding anniversary of the city highlighted by the crowning of Ms. Puerto Princesa.

(3rd week of June; Magarwak, Sta. Lourdes, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan)
It is a festive reforestation dance by practically all people from different walks of life with activities, such as the performance of the environmental artists of Puerto Princesa City, through songs and dances.

(December) is a celebration in honour of the city's patroness and highlighted by a parade and a procession of colourfully adorned floats and images of the Virgin Mary. Don’t forget your camera.

Lighting of the giant Christmas Tree signals the start of the holiday season.

It is a special occasion reliving the Christmas spirit with activities like Carol Singing, Payanig sa Kapitolyo, Tunog Tao, and Parada ng Lechon to celebrate the holiday season.
