March to May is hot and dry. June to October is rainy, November to February is cool. Average temperatures: 78°F / 25°C to 90°F / 32°C; humidity is 77%.
LANGUAGES
Two official languages --- Filipino and English. Filipino which is based on Tagalog, is the national language. English is also widely used and is the medium of instruction in higher education.
Eight (8) major dialects spoken by majority of the Filipinos: Tagalog, Cebuano, Ilocano, Hiligaynon or Ilonggo, Bicol, Waray, Pampango, and Pangasinense. |

BATANES - Located in the southernmost tip of the country, Batanes Province includes Sabtang Island , which was choosen as one of the 12 best Destinations in the Philippines by the Department of Tourism in 1994 . Aside from pristine islands, Batanes is also home to centuries old churches (San Jose Church, San Carlos Borromeo Church & Convent , Basco Cathedral and San Vicente Ferrer Church ) which were built in the late 1700's.

CAGAYAN PROVINCE - Dubbed as the Caver's Paradise, Cagayan Province is home to the Penablanca Protected Landscape (Callao Caves), the Northern corridor to the Northern Sierra Madre Natural Park, home to some 300 caves, 75 of which are documented.
