March to May is hot and dry. June to October is rainy, November to February is cool. Average temperatures: 78°F / 25°C to 90°F / 32°C; humidity is 77%.
LANGUAGES
Two official languages --- Filipino and English. Filipino which is based on Tagalog, is the national language. English is also widely used and is the medium of instruction in higher education.
Eight (8) major dialects spoken by majority of the Filipinos: Tagalog, Cebuano, Ilocano, Hiligaynon or Ilonggo, Bicol, Waray, Pampango, and Pangasinense.

PALAWAN - known as the Last Frontier, boasts of many resorts (such as El Nido Resorts, in Lagen island and Miniloc Island) with diverse ecosystems, such as rainforests, mangroves, white sand beaches, coral reefs, and limestone reefs as well as a variety of fishes like manta ray and sea cow and dugong. Palawan is also known for the Tabon Cave which is known as the cradle of Philippine Civilization and its famous Underground River. Located in the Middle Central Sulu Sea, 98 nautical miles southeast of Puerto Princesa City, Tubhattaha Reef was declared a World Natural Heritage site by the UNESCO. Snappers, sweet lips, groupers, angel fish, and morays can be found amid huge fan corals and sponges. Large schools of barracudas, jacks, rainbow runners, and surgeons pass by while tunas race about.
