A 78-meter high seaside cliff, Morundae (Busan Municipal Monument No. 27) spreads about 3 kilometers along the beach. Known as one of the three scenic seaside cliffs in the Busan area along with Taejongdae and Haeundae, it is surrounded by a lush forest of about 90 different species of trees including spindle trees and camellias as well as rocks of spectacular shapes. 1. Songdo Beach
A delightful meeting between a beach and a dense pine forest
Named from the surrounding pine forest, Songdo ("pine island") Beach obtained its reputation as a sea resort by, in addition to the forest, the beautiful beach, clean seawater and rocks of exquisite shapes. It is also Busan's first beach developed as a public sea resort. The white sandy beach is 450 meters long and 7-15 meters wide, and the water is 1-1.5 meters deep. Continued development has marred some of its attractions, but the place is still loved by many people who are particularly enthusiastic about the beautiful night view the beach creates as well as the evergreen forest. The entertainment in the area includes an amusement park with a children's playground, boat trips and rowing.
