The Korean autumn is a time of little rain and mild temperatures, though the winter monsoon, in contrast, brings icy winds straight from Siberia. Winters are cold but dry, with temperatures in January averaging -5ºC. By mid-March, the worst of the cold is usually over. Spring temperatures are mild, but the season is more prone to rain.
