HOTEL DESCRIPTION

Golden Horse Hotel was constructed on a property with a very long and interesting history. It dated back to the reign of King Rama V. This had been one out of five properties granted to the brother and sister (princes and princesses) of King Rama V. The owner of this palace was the forefather of the Chakraphan clan. Thus, this was how it acquired the name Chakraphan Palace. It had later been sold to a prominent Chinese businessman, who started the hotel business and named it Golden Horse Hotel (because his Chinese family name is “Ma”, means horse, and he was born in the year of the “horse.”)
