HOTEL DESCRIPTION: The ARCOTEL Nike is situated amidst parkland right by the river Danube, with a view of Pöstlingberg, and still it is within a short walking distance from the old center of Linz. 169 rooms in two categories and 5 suites, excellent view over the Danube, art garage (you park your car amidst a picture gallery). A 800 m drive from the highway A7 (Mühlkreisautobahn). Art & Culture - Linz at its best. A short walk takes you to the historic centre of Linz with its main square (Hauptplatz), baroque buildings and narrow streets. The so-called "Art & Culture Mile" starts directly at the ARCOTEL Nike followed by the convention centre and concert hall Brucknerhaus and the Lentos Museum of Modern Art. In Urfahr, across the Danube, you will find a futuristic museum, the Ars Electronica Center. Not to forget the Pöstlingberg with its Pöstlingbergbahn, the world's steepest tram. Take a ride up the 537 m high hill and you will find the Grottenbahn, an underground dragon train taking you through a fantastic fairytale land - to be enjoyed by old & young alike! You will also find restaurants and inns and, of course, that marvellous view of the city and the Danube River.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATION: 169 double rooms and 5 suites offer optimum amenities:Since March 2008, our guests have enjoyed the optimum amenities of 105 re-designed executive rooms and 2 executive suites — a perfect enhancement of our offering that complements the existing 67 standard rooms. The industrial designer Harald Schreiber, who already was entrusted with the refurbishment of the entire public area of the hotel in 2004, also continues to set ever new standards of well-being in the guest rooms.
