Five-Petalled Rose Celebrations 2011
Friday, June 17 - Sunday, June 19

The atmosphere of the Renaissance celebrations spreads throughout the entire historical center. Sounds of medieval music resonate can be heard in the center of town and its narrow lanes are filled with various conjurers and swordsmen.  Stalls are set up and the packed tavern on the main square emanates singing as well as a delicious smell of roasted meat. Český Krumlov has been transformed into a living history festival.

25th Annual Festival of Chamber Music

The festival, which takes place each year at the end of end of June and beginning of July, opens the local music season  It is the longest running classic music festival in Český Krumlov.

20th International Music Festival Český Krumlov

The International Music Festival Český Krumlov is the longest-running summer music festival in the Czech Republic. Offering a wide spectrum of musical genres performed by renowned Czech and international artists, the Festival is held every July and August in the UNESCO world heritage town of Český Krumlov.

The 20th International Music Festival Český Krumlov will present a series of concerts that will range from baroque, classical, and romantic, to jazz and famous musicals. The series will also feature three symphonic orchestras, twelve chamber orchestras and ensembles, a traditional opera at the Revolving Auditorium, and more than twenty world-renown international artists.

It's not only classical music that resounds through this picturesque medieval town. The local acoustics favour other music genres as well. This year-round series of concerts of jazz and alternative music culminates in early September with a traditional weekend festival, during which big-time domestic and international names of these music genus perform at highly untraditional places.

66th International Music Festival Prague Spring. It is the biggest Czech music festival od classical music. This year it will welcome artists like Anne-Sophie Mutter, Kurt Masur, Juan Diego Flórez, Bernarda Fink and others. Among Czech artist you can see Jiří Bělohlávek or Dagmar Pecková.

8th International music festival Mahler in Jihlava. Gustav Mahler was a Czech Austrian compositor and conductor. In his name, the Civil association Mahler 2000 organizes the festival of classical music since 2002.

Opera festival Smetana's Litomyšl

53th opera festival Smetana's Litomyšl id the second oldest (after Prague Spring) Czech music festival. It is also the biggest Czech open-air classical music festival.

In the birth place of Bedřich Smetana you can enjoy not only great opera performances but also oratorios, cantatas and othe vocal genres. The festival center is located in the beautiful UNESCO Chateaux Litomysl.
