HOTEL DESCRIPTION: The Pod Lipkami Hotel is a villa dating from 1924 abd was originally owned by Frantisek Holan, Commisssar General and personal friend of the first president. His granddaughter, Hana Capkova, enlarged the house after the "Velvet Revolution" and converted it into the family style Pod Lipkami Hotel. The pleasant atmosphere is reinforced by its exquisite setting in the peaceful, green and residential Hrebenka quarter, close to both Prague Castle and the city centre.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION: The Evelen rooms are almost entirely furnished with Art Nouveau pieces from the ninetenn-twenties, which creates a calm and pleasant atmosphere, while providing a full range of modern facilities (bathroom, shower, WC, entrance hall, satellite TV, outsude telephone line, room service). An extensive 80 m2 luxury suite (comprising a living room, bedroom, entrance hall, bathroom and WC) is availabe, offering a level of comfort to satisfy even the most demanding of clients.

HOTEL FACILITIES: The Hotel garden and terrace offer a pleasant situation ot sit out and enjoy a coffee or an evening drink. Other facilities include a new sauna, relaxation areas and a private bar, all on the hotel premises.Although the hotel has only enjoyed a brief period of existance since its opening on January 16th 1992, it has already been awarded the ACR recommendation by the Czech Automobile Association, signed by the president. We have also been recommended by the American Express Club and the "Prague - Cultural Capital of Europe" project and are a member of the Hotel and Restaurant Federation. Within a radius of between 500 metres and 2 kilometres you can find four outdoor and two covered tennis courts, an artificial ski slope, golf and minigolf courses and the Strahov Sports Stadium, housing a covered pool and a squash fitness centre. The nearby nature reserve with its historic Hvezba summerhouse offers cycling tracks and rental of in-line skates.
